decided to take it up a notch in my skills and drew the indominus rex!! i love her sm, so i was really happy when i was able to draw her and i used some references too
hoping i can actually draw her full body soon though, i dont want to jump right into it, rather practice some more headshots.

Jurassic June Day 16: Indom. What happened to her sibling? She ate it. The original D-Rex back when we thought it was going to be the Diabolus Rex or Malosaurus. The absolute joy in my body when the first Jurassic World trailer came out. In 2015 this was peak. I appreciated that they at least tried to hide the big bad in this movie. Yeah it got spoiled because of leaks, but at least the trailers didn't show it. Anyway, I thought this was a banger design.
Media Literacy Paleofail
If you want to gauge how bad people are at media literacy, allow me to use this as an example. The film "Jurassic World" introduces the Indominus Rex, a monstrous being that is explicitly stated to be a genetic hybrid dinosaur. It's a major plot point of the movie.
Despite this, there are people who believe the Indominus was a real dinosaur. To the point where it appears in not one but TWO B-Movies are a 'real' dinosaur.

Indominus Rex - Resequenced
Hey!
I meant to post this like a week or two ago, but apparently Tumblr doesn’t want to let me post on my preferred browser and it slipped my mind while trying to troubleshoot (still doesn’t work).
Here’s my take on the Indominus rex from Jurassic World. Not really meant to be a “Here I Fixed Your Character” thing, just expanding on the design and the ideas from the movie in my own style. I made JW Control Room-type graphics to make it look all fancy and to help explain my thoughts while designing it.
I unintentionally ended up kinda rolling the Indominus and Indoraptor into one, which debatably would have been for the best.
