like obviously his whole aesthetic is sick. a remarkably skilled duelist with pin and shield, standing eternal guard of Nyleth’s shrine, a match for Hornet in combat, all that

but also like. there’s obviously something off about him. and like skong does well with many of its other cool characters the details are left to the theatre of the mind

like. when he stands up as you approach. dust shakes off of him. his shell cracks like he hasn’t even breathed in a decade. obviously the citadel would hire a distinguished guardsbug for Nyleth’s shrine considering. Nyleth was probably a difficult presence in Pharloom’s political sphere. but Seth isn’t just a guardsbug he is made for this, even if he looks like some random dude

and the fact that he appears to lose his memory after his defeat, presumably around the time Nyleth’s shrine is entered and her heart taken? As if he’s some form of automaton and taking the heart broke his programming, since his objective was no longer possible to complete?

it strikes me as extremely interesting, what might’ve happened to him to turn him into Nyleth’s bodyguard. again, he seemingly hasn’t moved from his post, not even his seat, for years. even Hornet, who is half Wyrm, has to eat sometimes.
