What I say: I'm fine
What I mean: You know what makes me sad, is that in every react video to in a heartbeat, if it's done by a gay couple/gay person, they all kind of assume the ending is right after the heart breaks, and I mean they keep watching too, but they're ALWAYS surprised when the other boy shows up. That's depressing bc of how we've come to expect that our stories aren't going to end happily, and when they do, it's like a breath of fresh air, and it's amazing, and so beautiful, and everyone's celebrating, like. I hate that our community's expectations for media involving us is that gay characters don't get happy endings. It's just heartbreaking to see that everybody expects the video to stop after the broken heart. But it's also really hope-bringing to see everyone's surprise and joy at seeing it end so happily and honestly I'm just so thankful to Beth David and Esteban Bravo for not stopping the story there just like every other media for gay couples ever, and I just hope that our community someday doesn't have to unthinkingly expect the story to end unhappily and I just love this video so much I'm so glad it exists I'm so lucky I got to exist during the time that in a heartbeat was released
Here’s a little rock I painted like Sherwin’s Heart from “In a Heartbeat”.
