Hi guys, how are we doing?
I just wanted to come on here and spread a little awareness about how important your mental health is. A lot of people go through difficult things, and honestly, I do too sometimes. I get anxious, and sometimes I even feel jealous when I see other peopleās amazing artwork. I hate feeling that way because itās not the kind of person I want to be, but those feelings can happen.
If you ever start feeling overwhelmed or like something is wrong, itās completely okay to take a break. Youāre not tied to anyone here, and nobody is forcing you to keep posting.
If you need a break, take one.
Take a month off, a week off, or even just a few days. Your mental health and well-being are far more important than likes, comments, or reblogs. Those things can sometimes make anxiety worse, and thatās not worth it.
Iām feeling a little bit of that myself right now, to be honest. Iām okay, but sometimes when I see really incredible artwork, I start thinking that Iām somehow ābehind.ā But the truth is, Iām not. Iāve been doing art for 20 years. I just do it in a more traditional, old-school way. I guess you could say Iām a bit of an old soul when it comes to art.
Maybe one day Iāll transition into being a digital artist, but for now Iām happy with where I am.
So if you ever feel like you need a break, please listen to yourself and take it. Be kind to yourself and stand behind yourself. Donāt let anyone tell you otherwise.
