Hey everybody my name is Y/N and in about two days is Prom. As you guys guessed and maybe wondering which Jack I’m talking about. The Jack I’m talking about is Jack Maynard. I’ve been dating him for about 3 years and couple months now and he agreed to be my prom date, but that went down when the stage crew for his concerts told him he couldn’t go because someone deleted all of the sets music and they have to go and re due the whole set that got deleted.

To say I was mad was an understatement, I was pissed. Not at Jack, it wasn’t his fault, but now I have to go to prom by myself. Of course I have my friends but they have dates.

I just got off Face Time with Jack and he could tell I was pretty mad. He was supposed to fly out today so he would be here less than 40 hrs, so a day and half. After I got off the phone with him, I looked over at my dress and started to cry. I cried for a good half hour before my phone chimed saying I got a notification. I unlocked it to see Jack posted his vlog. I clicked on it and started to watch it. Some parts made me laugh from him being a dork and at the very end it was him saying he was sorry that he wasn’t able to fly out and be there with me to take me to prom and that he loved me very much.

I clicked out of YouTube and went and got ready for bed hoping the days go by quick. The next day did go by pretty quick. So it was day of Prom and I was thinking of not going, I was brought out of my thoughts when my phone started to ring. I looked at it and saw it was my best friend. “Hey Thea,” I said as I answered.

“Hey Y/N/N, I was wondering if you were still coming over so we could get ready together?” She asked.

I sighed and sat on my bed. “I don’t think i’m going to go.”

“What do you mean you’re not going to go?!” She kinda shouted.

I shrug my shoulders then remember she couldn’t see me. “Jack, he couldn’t make it due to filming and I don’t want to go without him.” she sighs.

“Y/N/N, he would want you to go. It’s your Senior Prom for Pete's sake.”

“I know, I know. It’s just I didn’t want to go alone.”

“And I get that, but you know Jack he will definitely make up for not being able to come.” truth is, he is coming and Thea knew that and I didn’t.

“Yeah I know.” I sighed and looked at my dress that was hanging up on my door. “Okay let me take a shower and then I’ll be at your house after.”

“Okay see you then Y/N/N.”

“Bye.” we hung up and I grabbed my clothes and headed for the shower. I got done, shave where I need to shave and got out and got dressed. I made my way back up to my room and got my stuff together and grabbed my dress and phone and made my way outside to my car.

I got in and made my way to Thea’s. I got there I turned off Baby and grabbed my stuff and headed inside. “Yo, Thea I’m here.”

She chuckles and comes out of her room. “Dude, I know. I heard you a mile away.” I chuckled and walk into her room and hung up my dress on her door with hers.

She turns to me, “Okay, wanna do my hair first before yours?” I nodded and told her to sit and started to work on her hair. Her hair was easy to do since it was kinda short and did her makeup. Next it was my turn, I sat down in the chair and she started on my hair and makeup.

By time we got done doing everything it was almost time to go. I sighed and went over and grabbed my dress and put it on and Thea did the same.

I sighed one more time as we walked out of Thea’s room and went into the living room so her parents could take pictures and had them take a couple with our phones and we said goodbye and went to my car. I put my stuff in the back and looked over at her. “Are we going and picking up Roy?” she nods and I start Baby and back out of her driveway and head to Roy’s.

We get there and I pull up to the curb and she gets out and walks to the front door to get Roy. his parents take pictures and they get in the car. Once they got in I started Baby again and head to the legion where Prom is being held.

I pulled in the parking lot and we get out and all head turn toward us. I locked Baby and we made our way to the line that was waiting to get in. We found our other friends and they asked me where Jack was. “He couldn’t make it. He had to say back and shoot a scene that someone deleted, so can we not talk about the fact that he’s not here so i’m alone.” I asked them and they all shake their head yes. I thanked them as we made our way inside and signed in.

We all had a great time and I forgot about Jack not being there until they played a slow dance and I had to sit in a chair while everyone danced. I was playing with the flowers that were on the table as I heard a voice behind me.

“Now, what’s a beautiful girl like you sitting here all alone and not dancing?” I spun around to see Jack standing there in a suit and a tie that matched my dress.

(Jack’s)

I gasp and my hands flew to my mouth as I slowly got up and made my way to him as he opens his arms out for me to hug him, which I did. I pulled back and grabbed the back of his neck and pulled him to me and kissed him.

He smiled into the kiss and grabbed my hips and pulled me against him more. He was the one to pull back from the kiss first and put his forehead against mine. He pulled back and held out his hand, “Come on babe, can I have this dance?” I giggled and nodded and took his hand. He lead us out to the dance floor and wrapped his hands around my waist and I put mine around his neck.

“So, how are you here?” I asked him as I tilted my head.

He chuckles, “Well, I kinda…... lied.” he said slowly.

I looked at him very confused and a little mad. “What do you mean you lied Jack?”

He takes a deep breath and steps back. “Well, you see I wanted to do something but had to wait till yesterday afternoon to get it so I wouldn’t of been able to come out the day before.”

I shake my head, “Jack, what the hell are you talking about?!”

He takes another shaky breath and looks down for a second then back up. I looked around to see Thea looking at us smiling and recording same with Roy and I’m still very confused as to what was going on. “Y/N,” I looked back at Jack to see him down on his knee. “We been together for 3 years and they have been the best 3 years of my life.” By now everyone in the room stopped dancing and is looking at us. The DJ stopped the music so everyone could hear what’s going on and gathered round us. “You, Y/N, have stuck with me threw everything, helped me with my friends and family, helped me pick out my apartment, with my good and bad days, everything. I love you so much and I never want to let you go, you mean everything to me and I’m going to ask you to be with me forever and continue to be my best friend and the love of my life so, Y/N M/N L/N, will you do me the honor of becoming my wife and being with me forever and marry me?” He opened the blue box he had and I gasped at the ring.

I nodded, “Yes! Yes, Jack, of course, you don’t even have to ask.” He smiled and put the ring on my finger and everyone was cheering.

He got up and grabbed my face and pulled me into a kiss and picked me up and spun me. I was laughing as he did, he put me down and I put my hand on his face and smiled. “I love you Jack Christopher Maynard.”

“And I love you soon to be Y/N M/N Maynard.” he pecked me on the lips once more before turning to Thea, “Tell me you got that?” She nods and smiles.

I looked over at her. “You were in on this, weren’t you?”

She nods again. “I was. He called me the other day and we planned this out.”

I get out of Jack’s grip and walk over to her and pulled her into a giant hug. “This is why you are my best friend. I love you Thea.”

She hugged back, “I love you too and I call dibs on being your Maid of honor.”

“Duh, that’s a given.” we both chuckled. I walked back over to Jack. “Alright, let’s get this prom started! DJ!” I yelled out making everyone laugh.

The DJ started the music again as people came up and congratulated us, same with some of the teaches.

I dragged Jack over to get our picture taken by the photographer, then dragged him back on the dance floor and started dancing with him, Thea, and Roy and I couldn’t of been happier.
