What of them? They're bananas, too! Many people call them plantains, but there's no botanical distinction of the genus. Plantain generally means that it's cooked before eating, however.
Pink bananas are really cool, but their seeds are like pebbles! I've never had a scarlet banana, and most brown bananas are varieties of plantain. There's also the Ensete, or false banana, which is a common food in the Great African Plateau. It's not related to Musa, but is also a perennial herb, rather than a tree, and has similar life cycles.
There are several cultivars of Musa acuminata which are red, including the popular Cuban Red and Dacca, and many have a similar taste to the sweet Gros Michel, and are considered prime dessert fruits.
There are even bananas that are green when ripe! Actually, the Gros Michel was one of them, when grown in the lowlands of Central America.
