The next morning I text him we need to talk. He tries to call me. I ignor his phone call and text him that I’m at orientation for my summer job... which I was. He waits for me. We end up going to lunch I told him if he drives I’ll pay. We go to an almost empty restaurant and talk about random stuff avoiding the main reason we even left the college. He tells me he wants to leave his house and move into an apartment and that he’s avoiding his mother until 2 am. I said hey lets just keep hanging out. In the year and a half that we had been friends we had never hung out alone. We get in his pick up and lips of an angel by hinder comes on. He said we should probably change the song and I ask why?!? He said because it’s a song about cheating, and I’m like okay?!? He lets it play to the chorus and then changes it. He asked me if she can come hang out as well and I say that’s okay. It’s fine it’s okay I’m good I’m not the jealous type. 45 minuets later she waltzes in and steals his attention like a kite in the wind. We start making a pretend house as we walk around our menards. They start holding hands. It’s okay I’m good nothings wrong I’m not the jealous type. We continue walking they start to peck kisses at each other... it’s okay I’m fine I’m in front of them you don’t have to look back just keep moving forward and they won’t notice how uncomfortable this is becoming for you. It’s now five o’clock and he wants to hang out with a different friend. It’s okay I’m fine I’m good. I say, Except I road with you and I can’t leave without you. We start to leave and he walks her to her car. It’s good it’s cool this is normal boyfriends walk their girls to their cars all the time. They start to kiss each other as if they’re never going to see each other again. I start walking away and he pulls away from her as he notices me walking away. He makes a comment about my awful driving and I slug him. We get to his pick up and he locks me out and slightly rolls down the window say that I have to apologize before I can get in. So I was like okay I’m sorry. And he retorted like you mean it. I start giggling and say I’m sorry. He looked at me like you meant it and I state I did say it like I meant it I didn’t. I take advantage of the window being half way rolled down and unlock the door and jump in. We start driving and within half a block dead looks at me with the most serious face I’ve ever seen him give me. You know why I didn’t think it would work out between me and you. I say please enlighten me because I thought he was halfway messing with me. He locks eyes with me again as he’s driving you’re to much like my sister you’re literally a carbon copy of her. All your sass when you hit me back there and wouldn’t apologize that’s all my sister. Every feeling I’ve ever had for him literally just bit the dust I’m now his sister. He keeps talking. Heather you are so outgoing and peppy and happy all the time. You’re a unicorn and you’re so nice you will find a guy that suits you. So now I’m your sister and a unicorn... I pipe up so what you’re telling me is that I have to find a guy version of me that is also a unicorn.
