One of the biggest bummers, for me at least, about being immune compromised is that I can never get a tattoo. I used to tell myself to wait until I knew what I wanted so I wouldn't end up with something I regret, but now I wish I had just gotten something. Playing Monater Hunter Wilds has reminded me how much I wanted an Odogaron tattoo and how I can never get one now. I'm probably really privileged if this is the biggest crime I have over living with a compromised immune system, but it still bums me out
So don’t go to Fast Eddie’s. Worker was fired for wearing a mask to keep himself & others healthy. Obviously, as an immune compromised person, I think more people should wear masks in more places. Helps slow the spread of colds, flu & Covid. But I’ve stopped expecting it. What I think we should *all* expect is that if someone chooses to wear a mask, they shouldn’t hafta worry about being fired for it. I don’t think that’s an unreasonable ask. It should be this man’s personal freedom to do so. Fast Eddie’s doesn’t support immune compromised people & it doesn’t support personal freedoms.

Wearing masks is so hard for me because of my asthma and anxiety but this woman on Twitter suggested a 3m aura respirator and told me to practice wearing it. I'm gonna need to be masked for all my oncology appointments so I bought it and tried it and it actually works well for me!! So if you have a compromised immune system and need to be masked but have trouble wearing them I'd definitely recommend this one!

It’s really awful that the only place those of us who are vulnerable once felt somewhat safe was in healthcare settings. Now I have to call ahead of every healthcare appointment I have to ask nicely if they will wear a mask due to my being immune compromised after 2 organ transplants. I have yet to find a dentist (A dentist!) to were one. But i had to have plumbers come and they didn’t mind. I’m so sick of this shit.
I actually had one doctor tell me he’s been “struggling for years with this.” And he said that “a provider wearing a mask does not protect the patient.” Then he dropped me.
They should have never taken masks out of healthcare. 🤬🤬
