As the title says, today's pretty much been just another day. Nothing spectacular happened. Sometimes I like days like this though, the kind where you don't really have anything that you have to do, but can just do whatever you want.

I woke up around 10AM, got dressed, and headed to my usual spot in the kitchen. I sat here for a while until I got to where I was actually awake and not in that groggy state. Then, I decided to clean on my room for a bit. I really need to get it all cleaned up and get out the mess my ex left for me. I worked some in there, then did a load of laundry.

Then I sat here in my spot in the kitchen, thinking about why I always let people get to me that way. I get told a lot that I'm too kind for my own good, but I never really do anything about it. I can't change who I am just because there are people in the world that don't know how to treat someone like me. Yes, I get hurt and used a lot, but you know what? I like who I am. I like the person I am. Yes, I trust people more than I should. Yes, I let small things get to me. Yes, I'm sometimes a train wreck after I've been used, but that's just who I am and the way I am and I happen to like me. I know I pick the wrong people to let in, but I can't help that. I try not to let down my walls too quickly or to the wrong people, but sometimes people just come barreling through them and I can't stop them. The only thing I can do is build them back up after they're gone. I've picked up my pieces and put myself back together many, many times. Whether it be by friends, family, or lovers, I always manage to get hurt somehow. I wouldn't change the kind, caring, loving soul that I am though, and I know a lot of other people wouldn't either.

I guess I'm going to stop rambling now. I'm just tired of people telling me I should change who I am just because others like to use and abuse me. It isn't my fault. I try not to let it happen, but it happens.

13) I was in foster care for 5 years as my mother was "MIA" as usual, and my dad was in prison.... (In and out my whole life) I just pray for my mom, and hope one day things can be different... And for my dad... Everything will work out eventually... Right?
