I feel like the new facility in Imaginary Friends Institute isn't as scary as the asylum. In the previous logo, the location had a menacing air to it. The current one seems a bit friendlier. Even at the end of asylum, it appeared a little less menacing. I hope there could at least be ONE adult in that place the kids could trust. I feel like this game is going to discuss the theme of finding hope.

Why It Works: Annabelle x Anthony
Normally I don't talk about video game couples, but I wanted to talk about Annabelle x Anthony. These two kids seem to have a very unique destiny. These two met and seemed to have a stronger connection than they had with their respective roommates. Also, did anyone noticed that Hollow looks almost exactly like Annabelle? I don't think it's sheer coincidence that the creators made her look like that. Then, there's the concept of how the two have imaginary friends that are the opposite gender. The other kids had same-sex imaginary friends so it could mean that it's alluding to possible marriage.
My Reaction to Imaginary Friends Institution
I'm so glad that this game series is getting a continuation. I think there's supposed to be voice acting this time so I hope we get a voice for Hollow and the kids soon!
Life After the Asylum: Nicolo
Nicolo is still close friends to Anthony. He tries to take care of himself more. The staff at the mental institution they're relocated too were pretty impressed with his behavior as well as his scar (how could he not get respect considering he survived the attack from a crazed doctor!!!). He's a little guarded from the unusual niceness from the nurses. Polo watches him like a hawk!
Eventually he leaves the Asylum life behind and becomes a doctor, or lawyer. He's a smart kid and his personality does fit the occupations. His scar earns him the nickname, "The Ghost" by his peers and he loves it over time. He and Anthony meet up from time to time.
Life After the Asylum: Annabelle
It was a struggle for Annabelle to overcome her depression. However, with some encouragement from Anthony and Pooky, she was able to gain confidence in her ability to live. She starts having a good relationship with some of the doctors and nurses that admire her etiquette.
As for her adult life, I'd imagine it'd be a nurse since she's been in asylum so she's a bit familiar with medical jargons. A lot of the kids trust her and she makes sure they'd live a comfortable life. She misses Pooky from time to time but she enjoys her existence everyday. Now married to Anthony, she has at least two kids with him.

Life After the Asylum: Anthony
Thought to do a little story for what happened to the kids after the events in Imaginary Friends Asylum. Best to start with Anthony. After the papers told about the incident, he was soon by met with his parents. They wanted him to come back live with them once released (No doubt to avoid angry glares from neighbors, they don't strike me as really nice people. Just my speculation since we know the nurses confiscated the letters). Hollow and his friends kept company during his stay in their new institution. Not as horrible as the last one, but he's still weary of the adults (and rightfully so!).
Years later, Anthony had cut ties with his parents. He's still in touch with his friends. Better yet, he and Annabelle got married. He's a father now and still remembers Hollow to this day. He is still a detective but more relied on by the police.
Overall reaction to the Backstory of the Imaginary Friends
I can't believe my theory was partially correct...
Thought to do some art for the Friends We Left behind. So far, I do like Pooky's design. He's kind of my favorite because he's menacing but protective from what I saw in the Demo. I don't know what happened but I have a feeling that when the game comes out: Tears will rain down from our eyes. He just misses Annabelle so much!
