After a long day of putting together the nursery you had settled down in bed with Joohyun chatting to your bump.

She caught a glimpse of your scrunched nose, moving a hand from your belly to your cheek, prompting you to tell her what was on your mind.

“We’re craving pasta with loads of cheese…” you poured, making her raise a brow.

To celebrate your son’s first birthday you had thrown a small get together with his loved ones at your home. Of course the moment Taekwoon arrived he had to scoop your toddler up and become his third parent.

“He’s telling people that’s his son,” your relative informed, making you and your partner laugh.

“He does that,” your partner nodded, wrapping their arm around your waist.

All the fussing had knocked him out, his chippy face squished up to his godparents chest as he rested. Taekwoon approached to see if he was okay to lay him down to sleep properly.

“Make sure you put his stuffed fox next to him.”

“And stop telling people he’s yours!” You hit his arm playfully. “You’re confusing people.”

His eyes met yours for a moment before he turned to the newest arrival so they could see the birthday boy.

You and Kyungsoo had been hiding out in Minseok’s cafe to spend some time together now that all of his exams were over. Both of your phones were off, wanting your focus to be on eachother, and sometimes Minseok when he comes to chat or fill up your drinks. 

Your little bubble of bliss was popped when the leader approached, anger in his eyes. “Do none of you know how to answer a phone?” he huffed, looking between the two of you. 

“What do you want?” Kyungsoo let go of your hands to sit up straight in his seat, eyes trained on the elder. 

“The final showing of my play is tonight,” he rummaged through his expensive leather bag to retrieve a folded piece of paper. “I want you both there. Seven sharp,” he dropped the make shift invite on the table. “Dress nice.”

The two of you watched him leave before letting out a joint whine, only wanting to leave your comfortable spot when it was time to go home and rest but you both knew how much joy your presence would give him. 

“I hate plays,” he groaned into your ear during a lengthy speech from the main child star. 

“Just smile and act like you’re having a good time. We’ll be home and alone in no time,” you turned to press a kiss to his cheek, though this did nothing to alter the sour look on his face. 

“Can I get Jongdae to create a technical difficulty?” his patience was growing thin with the child on stage. He made a mental reminder to tell Junmyeon to have harder auditions. 

You glanced over to the rest of the gang and their guests, all of them sharing the same bored look and hope that this was over soon so that their congratulations could be said and they could carry on with their life. 

“During intermission we should all meet in the hall and leave,” you suggested with a smirk. “We can make it back before the end. He’ll have no idea.”

After what seemed like years of chaos, your family was finally settled into your new positions within the kingdom.

The moment the celebrations were over the two of you were more than excited to retire to the sette and chill out.

Teakwoon took your snoozing son to change while you got yourself ready for bed. You both knew it would just be the two of you, as your son was completely wiped out from all the excitement of the days events.

He wasn’t completely sure what was going on, but happily waved and grinned at those viewing the ceremony while thriving from all the attention he was receiving.

You had your concerns on how an adopted half-breed would be taken—even speaking to the queen about abdicating your throne to keep him out of the public eye—but people were thrilled to meet their future king.

You had swapped the beautiful yet uncomfortable formal clothing for a pair of favourite fuzzy pyjamas and returned to your family, excited to sit down and give your feet a break.

You pressed a kiss to your prince’s head before settling down on the sofa with a content groan, your body melting back into the soft pillows.

“You sound relaxed,” he noted with a warm smile as he zoned into your now normal heart rate.

“I am relaxed,” you nodded, mirroring his smile. “Today was busy but perfect.”

“Almost perfect...”

“What would have made it perfect for you?”

“A princess,” his lips pulled into a smirk as he moved a hand to rub at your thigh.

You couldn’t help but laugh sleepily at that, taking his hand and pulling it so his arm was around your shoulder, letting you snuggle into his side.

Chanyeol had spent most of the evening rearranging your sitting room, pushing the furniture to the walls and adding red lights from god knows where. 

“What’s this for?” 

His smirk towards the lens quickly changed to a pout as his posed body hunched over.

“The others said I couldn’t look scary without my disguise,” he grumbled, causing you to laugh and go check the pictures he already took. You made your way thorough the cycle of pictures, each one was a different pose, a different facial expression. 

The laugh the escaped your lips made him whine in defeat, body almost bent in half in attempt to escape.   

“Stand to the side and lean your head back,” you held the camera in his direction, eyes focusing on the view finder.

He followed your instruction, allowing you to snap him, silently praying you’d help him prove them wrong. 

“Think we got it,” you hummed, taking the camera off it’s stand to show him the small collection of pictures, all of which he grinned at.
