This is the part of the year, where we all realize that the list of resolutions we set up for our 2015 goals, isn’t working out. For some reason, after only a month, we start slipping. It’s discouraging, then we burn and crash. We let outside failures destroy our self worth and tear apart our dreams… We get so discouraged over the ‘New Year Resolutions’ we set up for ourselves, then failed to actually do. We need to stop letting that define us. You didn’t loose any weight? You’re still eating way too much/not enough? 6am workouts aren’t working for you? You are still struggling with temptation? You still don’t know which degree you want? Or what you want to do with your life?That’s okay. Close your eyes and take a breath. Here is the only question that really matters: are you closer to God this January, than you were last January? Yes? Good for you! Keep going darling, everything will fall into place. I promise! No? Focus on drawing closer Him. The huge resolution list? Toss it Honey. Focus on becoming closer to God and you will start accomplishing everything you need to. Promise. Keep God first. Always first. You’re far too valuable to be defined by some list.
