i was curious, bc what if the mc said they didn't want to have kids, and both them and ilya had settled with that and never made any plans to have children, but then mc ended up getting pregnant one day. how would ilya react/what would his thought process be?

his reaction would depend heavily on when they find out. late-stage discovery is a real thing of course, but if they catch it early, ilyaās immediate suggestion would be an abortion
if mc is on the same page, heād handle the logistics quickly and quietly, doing everything he can to make sure itās as painless and stress-free for them as possible. but if the mc hesitates or refuses, i can see the both of them slowly raising their voices and arguing over it for a long time. it would definitely cause a lot of tension and heartache. idk i think ilya would definitely have very complicated thoughts on the matter, and it would take him a long ass time to come around š if he ever doesā¦
now, if they find out late enough that an abortion poses health risks or complications for mc, ilya wouldn't even suggest it. heād probably go into a daze for a few days to process the news, but his immediate pivot would be focusing entirely on keeping mc comfortable, safe, and healthy through the rest of it

Hello!! Iāve noticed and played the game since the very beginning as i was scrolling through itch.io, the only reason i dropped it quite fast is because i couldnāt find a way to unlock more than 2 endings bahahah (silly me). But now that iām back, i fell in love with the whole character of Ilya, there is just so much to do and think with him in mind heh.
Iāve did my best to check your replies to previous questions to make sure i donāt overlap any ideas, but thereās too much! (No offense, its nice to see you reply to everyone) so i kind of just want to ask right away, in case my question slips through and i never get them back..
1. How would Ilya react and handle an MC who is constantly worried about their family, i remembered that he would just hope MC forgets about them. But it really is hard to forget when you were doing your best to not burden your parents or siblings, no? Especially if they feel like they owe the family member something and wanted to repay them. (For instance my MC has an uncle who helped take care of him after an incident, leading him to drop out of college to work and repay his uncle), how would he persuade MC?
2. What if the MC is really, and really independent and doesnāt like the concept of being codependent on him? (Literally his goal) not as they want to escape, but rather something like:
āIlya, i appreciate that you do your best to sustain the both of us, but i wish to lend a hand too. Please? I want to feel useful, itās miserable like this.ā

ilya would absolutely notice if mc is constantly worried about their family, and he wouldnāt read that as a sentimental little quirk. heād see obligation, guilt, and the burden of being needed as something already built into mc, which means heād know exactly where to press. he wouldnāt try to mock that bond outright; heād be much more likely to make it feel exhausting and easier to set down than to carry
if mc had that kind of family debt, like owing an uncle for helping them through something, heād probably frame his arguments around relief and survival rather than morality. e.g., you can care about them without letting guilt run your whole life, you're ruining yourself for them, we can both come back to that later and solve it together when youāre more stable (depending on how large that debt is, he might even save up gradually without telling mc for that person to forever fuck off and leave him + mc alone. mostly for their ease of mind)
as for an mc whoās really independent and doesnāt like the idea of being codependent on him, i think heād find that both attractive and inconvenient. he respects strength, but he wouldnāt actually want to share control in the way they mean. heād probably let them contribute in smaller, carefully bounded ways that still keep the structure of the relationship in his hands. so he wouldn't be offended or anything by the question, but he would absolutely prefer it when it leaves him the one deciding what "help" looks like
but uhhhh... mc is definitely gonna have a hard time LOL

2- What are things he dislikes/hates in people?
3- What's his favorite song? I know he has a playlist of stuff he'd likely listen to, but if he has a specific favorite... It's definitely going to my playlist as well!
4- What does he like to do in his free time?
5- What if MC was bulked? Muscles and everything. Would ilya hesitate to do anything? (In the road/truck scene where he's asking to get a ride) Maybe ilya wouldn't attack in fear of MC overpowering him? Or would he not care and do it anyway?
incompetence is at the top of the list, nothing bores him faster than someone who can't think for themselves. he has a visceral reaction to religious zealotry and forced optimism too. he sees the world as "it is" and anyone pretending otherwise is just lying to themselves. i can see him being okay with the mc showing their clumsiness or stuff like that, but he would be a little frustrated about it. he is patient though, so if it's not being done out of malice, he wouldn't say anything.
HMM this is actually difficult since most of the songs i have in mind mean something to him (que sera sera) or are important to the story, but favorite... maybe paint it black by the rolling stones? or climbing up the walls by radiohead

i feel like it kinda depends on his interest as it does for everything else, but i definitely think it'd be tougher on him. if it came down to a physical struggle, he wouldn't mind getting his hands dirty. he's fast, and he knows where it hurts most. even if he ends up absolutely bloody and reduced toĀ crawling, he wouldn't stop.
