Caius has finally met a God in my story. But its Aulum and so it's gone like this:
Things Caius is not okay with: being pushed down a well.
Things Caius is okay with: letting a venomous snake bite him.
I've been working on writing again and so far my favorite thing I've managed is the following:
“I don't think I want to be trapped in a well.” At this point Hatshept finally lost his composure and broke out in laughter, “You're alright with death but not being at the bottom of a well?” “If I'm not immortal and die, than I've ruined the well water. If I am immortal than I'm going to have to find a way back up and who knows how long I'll be stuck, saving an immortal man from a well doesn't seem particularly urgent. Besides what if I survive only to be injured and die slowly or if I'm immortal, sit in pain while stuck at the bottom of a well.” It was too thought out, and probably the most Hatshept had heard Caius speak since they met. The man was proving himself far more amusing than Hatshept had ever expected. “We don't know each other well enough.” “For you to throw me into a well?” The frankness as he spoke had Hatshept laugh once more, “I mean if you think I'm the type to throw someone into a well.” That did make more sense. Though it didn't fully explain why they had moved to the well. “So how do you plan to kill me with a well then?”
