French Pronouns
I found a few articles on French neopronouns:
One in English. This one also talks about French queer language; terms, songs, and slurs (tw for that; they're there for educational purposes), and has some exercises on French pronunciation.
One in French. This one talks about some of the more common French neopronouns and French pronoun structure. Unfortunately, it's in French so all the non-French readers and speakers can't access it.
(The articles aren't the same)
Anyway, I'm visiting my French side of the family this summer and I have a couple French-speaking friends so I'm going to do more research on French neopronouns for myself. Considering using Ael and Ille :)

Ille sat at the Starfish Mainstage bus stop, waiting. Not for a bus, mind you; she had just arrived on one. She was waiting for Renzo, who had spent most of the day in Ranked battles. He usually played Ranked with his team, Team Saico, which had gained a reputation for their skill at it. Today wasn't a good day for that, however; Walo had work, Kira was occupied with Agent stuff, and Naomi had already scheduled a visit to the zoo that day. So he decided to go it alone. He and Ille had arranged to meet here after he was done, and then head to The Reef to get lunch.
She sat. And as she sat, the bad thoughts started to swirl in her head again. The bad thoughts usually arrived at times like this - waiting around, with nothing to really focus on, gave them room to settle in her head. Was he actually here? Would he remember? She checked her phone: it was 3:08. The last update she heard from him was a couple hours ago. Was he busy or was he ignoring me? Did he not like me anymore? The two had been dating for months by now, but she still worried that he’d just stand her up at some point. And when the bad thoughts arrived, one thing always led to another. Why wouldn't I deserve that? How terrible am I? She turned the volume up on her headphones, so that the music could drown the thoughts out.
Just then she heard someone yelling, loud enough to be audible through her headphones. “SOLO QUEUE SUCKS!!!” That was him, alright. The sound of Renzo's voice melted the bad thoughts away. He had a way of making them disappear quickly. She couldn't pinpoint exactly what it was, but she had noticed this from the moment they met. That his mere presence could do what her other friends needed long pep talks to do was irrational, but then again, the bad thoughts were always irrational.
He stormed into sight out of the venue's gates. Once again, he was pissed. He pulled out his Inkbrush and slammed it into the ground, sending light blue ink splattering around. Ille got up and briskly walked over to him.
“Hey Renz,” she asked as she approached. “Had a few bad matches?“
No shit. The horrible performance of his randomly-assigned teammates in the last few rounds had filled him with rage. This was normal. Well, maybe it wasn't, but it was normal for him. Losing was one of the many things that set off his short temper.
“Yeah. Five losses in a row," he responded. "You’d think in a game called Rainmaker, they’d try to pick up the fucking Rainmaker!" His voice rose and he started gesturing in the air. "That’s the whole point of the fucking game! If you want to play Turf, go play Turf! So why are these idiots in Ranked?!?!”
Ille nodded. “I know what that’s like.” She placed a hand on his shoulder. At this point, Renzo's rage started to fade away. When Renzo got angry, it usually took a while for him to vent his feelings and calm down. The only thing that could get him to cool off quickly was listening to prog rock - focusing on the complexity of the music took his mind off of it. That is, until he met Ille. Something about her always gave off a relaxing vibe to him. He couldn't pinpoint what exactly it was, but he had noticed this from the moment they met. Since then, Ille picked up how to best calm him down quickly. Most of the time, touch and a few words would do the trick. Just as Renzo's presence cooled off Ille's anxiety, Ille's presence cooled off Renzo's anger. That was a key pillar of their relationship.
"How are you doing now?" she asked.
He took a deep breath and took her hand. “Better, now that you’re around,” he conceded.
She kissed him on the cheek. “C’mon, let’s get something to eat.”
