Ilepo Google Android TV Octa Core 64 Bit Review
I really like this unit, the new Rockchip RK3368 64Bit CPU is fast and the GPU on it has very smooth video processing. The main benefit of the 64 Bit SOCH is it can handle many processes at once better than most of the Quad Core chips out there I have tested. For the price you get 2 Gigs of ram and 16 Gigs of Rom, so some much need extra space for anyone who wants to do some gaming on the box. Most of the competitors for the same price only offer 1 Gig of Ram and 8 Gigs of Rom, so with all the new updates to Android 5.1 and Kodi you can fill up the cache resulting in the unit freezing up or your movies taking along time to buffer.
The Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system looks great and is easy to use, my only complaint would be that it doesn’t seem to have CEC control or I have not been able to find it yet. Anyone out there that knows if Android 5.1 has this feature please let me know in a comment below. Android 4.4 Kitkat has it and it makes it nice and convenient because with that feature enabled your TV Remote will work the TV box. This is very nice because most Android TV units don’t come with a very good remote controls. So I would recommend purchasing keyboard style remote.
You also get the latest HDMI 2.0, which means more bandwidth signal to your TV 18 Gbps instead of 10.2 Gbps that HDMI 1.4 offers. This results in a benefit of better picture quality, less compression artifacts and richer colours. Very important for all those people with a 4K TV. Plus LAN 1000M and Bluetooth 4.0. With a network connection the LAN 1000M means much faster internet signal or if you like WiFi better the, 5 Ghz also will provide you with faster internet compared to the regular 2.4 Ghz wireless signal.
I would positively recommend this unit for the price it is fantastic!
