🍁𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗘/𝗪𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗕𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘🍁 How do you balance writing and life? The truth is...I don't. I’m a mother so you can probably guess that from day to day I'm often running after two kids. 😁 Finding a balance just doesn't happen during the day. But, I'm okay with that because I've always been a nightowl and working at night has always worked best for me! Being a nightowl was a habit I've always had. As a kid, after homeowork and dinner, I'd go to my room and chill. Listen to music, read, and do some writing. At 16, I got my first job. But, the nightowl habits never changed. Now as a mother, I still write at night because it's the only time I have to myself! ☺ How do you balance life and writing? Wild Flower The Wild Flower grows between the stones, where all the dirts and unwanted through. The stem sucks all the goods and bads, without knowing how to protect from those. I saw it was blooming quite a bit, though the wind is trying ruthlessly to break down the connection of it's roots to the earth, but there's still will that strengthen growth. A White Butterfly flew around it to make sure it will remember it's worth. In life, there's wild flowers, every where in our surroundings. This week I’m making it #traveltipwednesday instead of Tuesday because I lost track of what day it was apparently 🤷🏼‍♀️ Anyway, my #traveltips this week are all about how to find fun things to do in a new destination. When I travel, I love trying local activities and restaurants instead of constantly doing touristy things. When you google what to do in a new city, popular landmarks, museums and parks are usually the first to pop up. I love visiting those parts of a new city, but I’m more interested in what the locals do. Here are 3 ways to find out what the best local places are in the area: 1. Check the local visitor’s center - the employees there are likely to be locals, and they’ll know where to go. They promote the local tourist attractions for their job, but if you strike up a convo with them, they’ll tell you all about their actual favorite places to go! 2. Ask store clerks and waiters - I love to chat up the people waiting on me at stores and restaurants to get a better idea of what people in that city like to do. I always tell them what I’m doing there and the things I’m interested in, and 9 times out of 10 they will give me a list of local places to check out. 3. Read travel blogs - I’m not talking about the big blogs from travel magazines or travel companies. I’m talking about the micro-blogs written by people just like you, looking for the local attractions. I’ve read so many that give great advice and suggestions for places I wouldn’t have thought to visit. How do you find activities when you travel?
