He always knows what we need and when we need it. When I look back over the past year, I can't help but marvel at how far I have come. From the pain of losing my Dad, to a niggling uncertainty as to God's plan for me. It was one of those moments of being at a crossroad, do I choose to look at every issue and wonder why God is being unfair or just thank him even in the good and the bad. I chose gratitude, even though I didn't know the path it would lead to. I and my family chose to be positive, we chose to lean into his words and pray and truly, we chose God and that changed everything. Choosing God is not the absence of problems or trials, for surely they will come. It is rather an assurance that no matter what happens, God is working it out for your good. No matter how painful, how sudden, how devastating, he is orchestrating a path for you that will give you a future and a hope. As I celebrate another year, my 32nd, I am once again reminded of God's goodness. I am reminded of all he has done for me and will continue to do. I am also reminded of the path he has chosen for me- to inspire and empower his daughters and steer them back to Him. I pray that I remain steadfast and obedient to His call.
