Our last hike of the day was about an hour before sunset and we wanted to check out a lesser known trail that park officials say doesn't exist but does. It's just not as maintained as others or even has a trail head. Beaver Lodge Nature Trail is a 3 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Broken Bow, Oklahoma that features a waterfall and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. - AllTrails.com I'd rate this trail as moderate mainly because it's very narrrow and you may have to go off trail to get past fallen trees. I also think ite longer then the map says. We made a mile before running out of light and turning around. Cedar Bluff Nature Trail is a 0.9 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Broken Bow, Oklahoma that features a river and is rated as moderate. Last Sunday we made a day trip out to Beavers Bend State Park to do and see some fall colors. There wasn't as much as we would have liked but there was patches of color. The Tree Trail at Beaver’s Bend State Park is 1.2 loop trail near Broken Bow, Oklahoma is considered a leisurely stroll through the woods and was designed to be used for hiking, walking, and nature trips. The trail isn’t all that flat and does have a few short steep ups and downs to pass to complete the loop. Our last trail of the day was the Lookout Mountain Trail. It's about 2 Miles long with an elevation gain of 550 feet. We didn't do so well. We missed the trail marker because it was set almost 10 off the trail and hiked the connector trail. That section of the trail was loose dirt and not level (left leg was always higher than the other) and one slip and you slid 50ft to the bottom. Once we saw the signs for the Tree Trail we knew we were off trail. By the time we got back on trail there wasn't enough time to finish. Today we spent a few hours at Beavers Bend trying to catch a little of the fall colors. We missed most of it but still had some fun. Our first trail was the Indian Nature Trail. It's an older trail that isn't maintained anymore and the trail head is gone along with most of the trail blazing. But you can still see the warn down path. We made it almost to the end of the trail but lost the trail due to a pile of dead trees. We won't be doing this trail again.
