Our bridge is symbolic of freedoms we share here in the USA. Today is the anniversary of Martin Luther King's "I have a Dream" speech. If you look closely I hope it brings into view how tragic it is that something like systemic racism exists in our sophisticated and advanced civilization.. . Walking San Francisco & Thinking Out Loud June 24, Post 1 - 3,000 miles . .. almost . I started wearing a Fitbit watch and walking San Francisco in March of 2018. Initially, I wanted #walksanfrancisco to be a hybrid group-fitness and sightseeing program so I started out by tracking my steps and mileage between landmarks for every one of my walks on 4 x 6 cards. I took my first serious photos of San Francisco with my Samsung Edge7 camera. When I started walking with a DSLR camera in my shoulder pack and then processing my galleries in Adobe Lightroom, my outlook on life changed. . "It's all about the journey" . .. The 60,000 photos 📸 I've taken on my walks have helped me see and learn more about my city than any of the many books I've read.. . The Covid-19 pandemic and "S.I.P." has been a disaster for the hospitality, sightseeing and tourism business in San Francisco. As everything starts opening up and we begin to recover and rebuild our lives and our businesses I'll be out there walking and photographing the people, places and things that make San Francisco one of the greatest cities in the world! I can't stop #walkingsanfrancisco because I haven't taken my best picture yet😀 . The clouds and fog burn off first along the eastern waterfront of San Francisco so chances of getting colorful clouds and reflections on the Bay are good. I start shooting 32 megapixels tomorrow.
