In fact, maybe wine tours make a stop at San Giorgio di Valpolicella—the stone architecture will fill your eyeseith beauty and awe!⁣ ⁣ This village also has one of the most ancient and interesting examples of Romanesque architecture in the whole province of Verona: the parish church known as the 'Pieve' dating back to 712 AD and rebuilt in the 11th century. 🇮🇹 Verona. Panorama sulla città da Castello di S. Pietro. Svettano il campanile della chiesa di San Fermo maggiore e la torre dei Lamberti in piazza Erbè. La chiesa del VIII secolo ha subito una radicale trasformazione da stile romanico all'attuale aspetto gotico. Il campanile risale al XIII secolo. La torre dei Lamberti coi sui 84 metri svetta su Verona. Voluta dall'omonima potente famiglia fu costruita a partire dal X secolo.
