It's the last day before Christmas today and I was out and about with my Dad. We went to a place with a really nice view over the foggy and snowy valley and it was still bright when we returned home so we even managed to walk to the lake uphill behind my house. It was a wonderful day outside in nature and I think my Dad really enjoyed the views despite the grey and dark weather. New snow came and went on the weekend and I fell ill with the stomach flu. By now I am quite tired of being sick all the time... Three colds and now this, but I guess it is inevitable when working with kids. At least I have been feeling much better again today and was able to laugh quite a bit when I was talking to my parents. My mom told me the last time I had stomach flu (when I was about 5 years old) I told her not to feel sad if I die. Apparently I was a quite overdramatic 5 year old but I totally relate, I felt horribly weak yesterday. Luckily I am feeling like I have the worst already far behind me and am looking forward to tomorrow, because the weatherforecast says it's gonna be a sunny day. I love the beautiful snow. It has snowed all day and I have just come inside after shoveling my driveway for 1,5 hours! Today was my first day at work again after being sick. I still feel weaker than usual, but going out again and doing something meaningful felt really good and empowering. The weather however was very dark. The sky was covered in thick clouds all day and it started getting a bit foggy too throughout the day, so that everything just seemed dark and grey. Temperatures are still above 0°C, so the ice and snow keep melting, the ground is very slippery and the roads shining like mirrors.
