jeff, friend, I reacted with anger because you called people "ret@rds." That is not only politically incorrect, but brash and insensitive. Name-calling is not nice - it hurts people's feelings and paves the way for others to think it's okay. I can't read minds (like you). I don't know that when you say "ret@rd," you really mean "I am making a generalized, innocuous statement about American culture. It does not encompass all women, and in fact I have great respect for certain types of women. I was merely making a comment on our media-obsessed, overly sexualized culture and its effect on some women." I said my life is rad because you impugned my competence, level of education, hormonal activity, and marital desires. Perhaps, I'll admit, it irked me. If you stood in my shoes for a moment, you might have also found it offensive. You might have reacted similarly. In a society where people (men AND women) badger women for their choices, some women become frustrated. It's frustrating, trust me.

I enjoy it though, Jeff. I appreciate a good debate - maybe with just a little less name-calling. Have a nice day.
