an eldritch horror being and a weird little artist boy/girl (french). who will outfreak who remains to be seen
guyses from @1966-if
Some ppl really need to learn how to separate fiction from reality. Enjoying messy/problematic themes in fiction doesn’t mean someone supports or justifies those actions IRL. That’s literally the point of fiction??? bfr anon 😭 smh
god forbid writer making problematic themes in fiction 🤦
This!

hi this is graduating soon anon (hopefully, fingers crossed lol), but yes, im also hopefully graduating in the summer haha! so i think we should be graduating around a similar time. i finally have time to play more ifs. that 10,0000 word dissertation i think was the most intensive thing ive ever written. like ive written short stories that are around 50,0000 words but they were way easier to write than my essays and dissertations lmao. i will be for sure rereading golden because its my favourite if of all time and all the ros are so well written. i adore them all. you're such a great writer. i will also be replaying bdsi of course, its so good and i love gang stories and the familiarity that comes with the london setting (the massive waterstones in london is my favourite thing ever lmao) . speaking of ifs, i was wondering if you had any favourite genres you like to play. do you have a type of RO or trope that you usually catches your eye when looking for what ro/character to romance during playthroughs? and last but not least have u played infamous? its so good, ive been having so much brainrot over it rn. i highly recommend it. :))
Hello! Please do message when you're graduating (obviously not when you're like on stage, but on the day when you get any time) so I can congratulate you then too.
Omg, you're totally right! As soon as my dissertation was submitted, I thought 'writing an if is way easier than this'! Fiction is just so much easier to write overall, 50,000 words of fiction > 10,000 word dissertation any day.
It's wild to me that anyone has Golden as their favourite if: the stupid game with its stupid characters that I created, and people like it — very, very crazy, yet so so heartwarming!! And BDSI, that if has a special place in my heart still even though it's a hobby project.
On the topic of London, I'm hoping to go soon so I definitely want to check out the big Waterstones. I've been to Foyles and I loved it there!
For ifs, I think slice-of-life is my favourite — I think I like the escape of writing about a supernatural world which I do with Golden already. I always love mystery, so if ifs have that too, then I'm a fan. Found family is a top-tier trope and it's my favourite!
For type of ros: I'm a sucker for enemies/rivals to lovers, I will take pick that every time for at least the first playthrough. But if the other romances with a different trope catches my eyes, then I'm for it too.
Yes! I have played Infamous by @amyreads, I've already messaged Amy at least twice like "hi, I love your if!", so I've fangirled over it too. Definitely a favourite.
I also highly recommend College Tennis: Origin Story by @allieebobo. It's a slice-of-life, university, sport if where you're a student-athlete and you navigate tennis, uni, and friendships/romances — it's a favourite if of mine too.
And if you're into gangs, then I think you'd like Novaturient by @kalorphic. It's a spy if full of action, a great customisable mc, and six ros to pick from to romance! Amazing, amazing stuff, and of course a fave.
