"You can get on the couch, I don't bite." BJ joked, breaking through the silence of Yourself's apartment.

Peacock starts at the older's voice, perturbed. They were just waiting for some of their friends to come back from the store for movie night. They haven't even moved since the others left so why speak up about this now? Was it awkward? Peacock assumed they were chilling perfectly fine, maybe he made the other uncomfortable with the distance. He doesn't fucking know though. This must be why he doesn't really have friends, never learned how to interact correctly.

In this case, Kareshi murmured, "Shitteiru…" before moving from the window to sit near the shorter.

Now with the change in position, Peacock can't help but feel a bubbling dread in his stomach. He sat stock still with his knees up to his chest, full of anticipation and restlessness. He pretended to watch whatever what was playing on tv. He couldn't even remember what it was from before he had moved seats. He even had to discreetly wipe his sweaty palms on his pant legs, shamefully.

Moments like these usually weren't so dragged out like this with his old friends —unless they were the few malicious types— so when BJ sat forward, looking directly at his anxious friend, it left only sparks of relief to get this over with.

With his signature cheeky smirk and his head resting on his fists, BJ snarked, "What's got your panties in a twist?"

Kareshi's mind basically lagged, not expecting a question, much less one like that.

"Eh?"

"You were still as a statue and you're radiating discomfort. You scared of me or sumn'?"

Peacock slowly shook his head, tilting it a bit. Looking over his undead friend, he finally responds.

"…I just thought…" The angel dragged out the silence, confused on where to go from here. BJ had raised his eyebrow in response, waiting for Kareshi to finish. All the while, said Boyfriend's brain was still rebooting at the fact nothing bad is probably gonna happen.

At some point while calming himself, an idea popped up in his mind. Weird timing but it felt fitting for it to be BJ, them both having wings and all.

"Ne… Can I ask a small favor?" BJ looks back towards Peacock, sitting back on the couch. Sure, there wasn't a verbal response, but the attention was all that was needed; neither were super talkative anyways.

"Can I try touching you with my wing?"

His face scrunches before smoothing out a bit, eyebrows still furrowed while thinking. "… huh?" Snorting, Peacock spread his left wing out in show. They both sat there in a moment of silence before BJ finally sucked air through his teeth and huffed it back out. "Yea okay sure."

The younger brought his wing close to his back, "You don't have to if you don't wanna." He'd really hate to force BJ to do this for him.

BJ jerkily shakes his head before the other could overthink for even longer. "No, it's fine. It's just your wings, I can help out a friend."

The two sat in silence once more; this was starting to becoming crazy how awkward the taller was just realizing about himself.

To release their anxiety, the boys shifted around in their seats. Hesitantly, Peacock let his wing reach out to BJ. The two stiffen at the feather-light touch. BJ relaxed a little, still cringing though, and Peacock continued his uncomfortable trek.

The went on for so long while they waited for the others; unless it only felt drawn out from the whole of the embarassing situation. Whatever the case, Kareshi was grateful for the shorter's help.
