HAYATO THE PERSONIFIED NAKAJIMA KI-43 !! First and foremost. I wanted to bring his blog back but like, I gotta fucking draw my own shit for the layout and unless the layout is PERFECT, I will be too embarrassed to rp with people lmfao.
I also thought about bringing Reiji the A6M back in some capacity, like. Whether I revamp his blog from scratch or just archive it (and sit on the fucking URL like a gremlin) and throw him on multi. But I respect him too much for that, I think. Haha, I just miss playing my JKMM / Shinyatai muses so much! Especially because their backstories and shit are so intertwined with Kiku and Hikaru at this point. I have a whole fucking world worked out for them all but I don’t know how much interest there would be in them, so I’m like. Not sure I wanna put the effort in when I could improve THIS blog instead, yanno.
But I really, really miss my personified war machines, like nobody’s business.

⌘ : Where do you get some of your inspirations for plots/head canons? Offer an example, if possible.
I have a WHOOOOOLE PAGE dedicated to this, actually. It’s my “thanks to” page since I feel like a thief if I don’t credit / name my inspiration. Most of it comes from history, and anything that doesn’t is just what my hellbrain thinks of while I’m listening to music at work, since I have a playlist of songs that remind me of bastard to jam to while throwing boxes. >:) but for the most part, plots I do generally draw on historical events to start with, and then whatever my partner(s) and I come up with on our own as things move along.

One of my favorite threads right now is based on France building up Yokosuka-- before Kiku was fully around, so Hikaru has to do the dealings and he’s less than excited to welcome the development of a naval arsenal, but at the same time, he recognizes that they need it and promises only to use it for defense against outsiders. Too bad Kiku can’t fucking mind his manners and do the same many years later. :^) But for now, Hikaru is going to be a very good host and be blissfully unaware of what awaits him in the near future while showing his guest around. What a good bean.

𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐞 𝐠𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐝. She has seen many examples of horrible dancing in her lifetime. Going to a dance in town wasn’t a big deal to her. She has dealt with more extravagant parties, one where about a hundred or more people are attending. This was nothing to her.
But it seemed to affect Hux.

Cassie did enjoy these events, but she also saw the opportunity lying there in plain sight. She could steal anything she wanted, especially if the person wasn’t sober.

This is already going to be really long, so sorry for going on a rambling session here. I’ll put it under a read more tab.
Cassie is very empathetic and doesn’t necessarily have a hard time connecting with others. If they aren’t rude or anything she’s against, she will usually connect well with them. Of course, there are people she can’t connect well with.
If someone is getting mistreated, Cassie can't help but reach out a hand to help them. She wouldn't want to be in their position and feels extremely bad for people like that. It wouldn't be uncommon that she would fall for these type of people. To have someone who's flawed, not always perfect. In a way, she wants to help them (not just someone she's in love with). This is going into a whole other topic, but I wanted to say that Cassie wouldn't just fall for these types of people. She can fall in love with really anyone, just as long as she likes their personality. Anyway, moving on!
She might be an outlaw, but she's restricted on certain things. Like she'll only harm someone when necessary, kill when she needs to. Her only motive for stealing is a way to survive, around people who do the same thing, being young and rebellious, and being with the van der Linde gang -- that has been the only support she's been given after she's been on her own. Other than that, she's had to be on her own without any other help.
That's why with the whole O'Driscoll thing, it was really hard for Cassie to go over to that side. But with Colm saying he knows where her father is, that he's not dead, she couldn't not take that chance. Her father might be corrupt and wasn't truthful about everything, but she can't help but want to help him and want to see the good in him. And to possibly clear up things.
Basically, Cassie is a clusterfuck of emotions lmao. She feels really deeply & it can be a lot to take on sometimes. The only way I can really describe it is that it can be drowning. She much prefers to take on everyone else's problems and fix them than her own. It can be draining, but if it helps someone or makes them feel better -- it's worth it to her.
But with giving others support, she would much rather give support to others than be given support herself. Of course, she has given support, but with her personality, it’s not too common she gets it. So when someone would offer her support, she gets an unfamiliar feeling & feels like she has to give something back in return. When giving support and comfort, she doesn’t always go to the affection route. She would much rather spend time with them, talk through their problems with them and such. Just be a listening ear and someone to rely on. When growing up, she didn’t have constant support like that, so she often tries to be that way with others.
