Doin' a learn at the Mistrali cultural center. Nora and Ruby are pretty bored, but hopefully you're not too sick of my posts today! It's apparently Iced Coffee Day, and this is my 3rd post explaining why I think this is a viable ship. My grandfather always said, "Marry someone that's smarter than you." (He met my grandmother in a calculus class, so yeah.) It's something I really took to heart when searching for a mate. Obviously, this doesn't work if your sole criterion is IQ points, but most folks these days understand that there are different kinds of intelligences, and that people can be equally bright even if they have strengths in different areas. Complementarity and balance are important in a relationship so both partners can help each other be the best they can be. What it really comes down to is respect. It's CRUCIAL that you and your partner respect each other. That's not going to happen if you think your partner is an idiot. We'll focus on book smarts for now. Roosterteeth isn't the best at "show, don't tell," but we do know that Weiss is academically inclined. She's often shown studying in RWBY Chibi (which isn't canon, but the characters are exaggerations of themselves), and she declares herself to be the smartest girl in the school in Volume 1. Oobleck has a PhD, and he didn't get it for fun. π Going from this, it's clear that both characters value their intelligence, and this could be a quality that each admires and respects in the other. Weiss may be behind in education due to her age, but as a diligent, studious, and tenacious person, I think she could keep up with more academic topics of conversation.
