I was tooling around in ur legion tag and ended up w a question. Aside from Ulysses, if there were a legion aligned companion, done well- what would that look like to you?
oooohhh!!! maybe a legion spy who's seen a world outside of the legion and liked it a lot, or a defector or an escapee... someone who knows a lot about the legion and who has done things in its name but doesn't really believe in it anymore, or is at least on the fence about it. i don't think i would honestly enjoy a legion companion who still fully buys into the legion's ideals; however, slowly guiding them to leave the legion and then having them choose to if they want to stay or defect would be a pretty good character arc!
tbh i don't know much about legion society past the fort, but my ideal legion companion would be an escaped legion priestess :) a woman forced to indoctrinate children to the legion's belief system would know a lot about how that system works. maybe she would even have to meet with high-ranking legionnaires to discuss which children have Potential to rise up the ranks?
what if she was the one who recommended a frumentarius to vulpes, and then that frumentarius helped her leave, or even left with her? what if her name was minerva (minnie, post-legion) and she was an older lady, and she never forgot about her fallen tribe no matter how long ago it's been, and she's on her way to the strip to begin again, legion assassins hot on her heels, and oh my god i think i just gave myself an idea for another fnv oc?? BUT ANYWAY. yes. escaped legion priestess would make for a very cool, very different legion companion :) really wish the fnv devs had more time to implement a real one though
