Both. Of them just started dating in the series as Boris was waiting for Cuphead but hes not very good at social cues and didnt really understand much on love, hust thought he got hyperfixated because Boris was his best friend. It kinda came outta no where too because Boris rarely talks and all so it startled Cuphead and accepted only to realize it a day later what he accepted to. Cupheads ofc very clingy and tries to get gifts but hes not very good at it and accidentally insults Boris on multiple occasions trying to show affection(Boris doesnt mind though, its more Bendy finds it offensive) . He also literally will sprint across the entire building to get to Boris if he says his name ONCE whether its just asking a question or he got hurt. Boris is also very physical but often forgets to explain to Cuphead when he does certain acts of wolf affection. Tbh though if anything Cuphead acts more feral ngl as he often will get super excited about being near Boris to the point he often has to play fetch just to calm his ass down(50 chance it works, 50 chance he runs off and disappears for hours only to return with something romantic)

point being. I did it for my brother, just so he doesn't have to worry anymore
