The Dearing-Grady Family

We got Owen.

And Finally, my OC.

She’s got a full name, a birth date, and a backround story. :P

Introducing Charlotte “Charlie” Elizabeth Dearing-Grady.

Yes, Owen wanted to name her after his lost raptor, and the names Delta and Echo are pet names, not human ones.

Bio:

Almost age 4 (I’d assume the Dominion takes place during it’s release date, June 10th, so she is literally a day away from being 4)  but smaller that your average 4-year-old because she was born a month and 3/4 early. ( I know in the picture she looks the size of a normal 4-year-old, but this is just how she looks, not her actual size. For comparison purposes, the average height of a 4-year-old girl is 3 feet 3 inches. Charlie is like 2 feet 10 1/2 inches. She was born a month and a half early because I was inspired by this one fanfiction where Claire, after the really heavy model tree fell on her, she got injured and couldn’t have kids because of it. Then, like a month later, Claire was pregnant with Charlie. Except it wasn’t my OC (Which is Charlie btw lol) it was a boy character the person made up. It was really cute.)

Birth Date: June 11, 2019. (Yes, her birthdate is the same day that Jurassic Park came out. That’s the point.)

Eye Color: Hazel Green (Owen’s. Hazel Green is like brown and green mixed. Hazel blue is the same thing but blue not green)

Hair Color: Red (*insert sarcastic tone* Huh. I wonder who she got THAT from...)

She’s got Claire’s cute lil’ freckles too. The only difference is that Charlie’s are more noticeable than Claire’s are. Charlie also gets underestimated a lot. Sucks to be those people I guess. XD She also has an amazing sister bond with Maisie. Way better than Zach and Gray’s sibling bond or Lex and Tim’s. Speaking of Zach and Gray, Her older cousins are, well, older than her. Let’s just say the nerf battles they have are gonna pay off later...

There’s also a quote that inspired me to make her and is pretty much the base of her character minus the sassy attitude and fiery personality from Claire and the silliness from Owen and the kindness from both of them.

Charlie is really curious, loves dinos (lol duh XD), but she also know A LOT about them too. That’s actually how she started reading. She found Alan’s book in her house and looked at the pictures. Her parents also talk about them, mainly Claire at the DPG and stuff. Reminder: She’s curious. Hence, the finding and sort of reading of Dr. Grant’s book. Of course, she can’t read ALL of it, but she can read the names, meanings of the names, and a few facts about it. And look at the pictures. (Thanks Dr. Grant! :D)

That’s where the second quote that inspired Charlie comes in.

What happens regarding her in what I imagine the movie to be like:

Yes, Charlie, at age four, in front of Alan, Ellie, and Ian (in the movie idea in my brain at least.) refers to the Indominous Rex as the ‘archeornithomimus’. Ellie and Ian absolutely adore her. 

Since it was revealed that Biosyn will be the villian in this movie, that’s how it’s gonna go.

Claire and Owen get news that Blue is nearby. Alan, wanting to come, joins them, curious to how the man made an unbreakable bond with one of the most dangerous creatures to walk the earth. Ellie, being a paleobotanist, has heard rumors that ancient plant life has been sprouting up in forests around the U.S. Curious to find out, and seeing that the unknown source ‘tracked’ Blue to a forest, Ellie wants to investigate that. Ian wants no buisness with any dinos he doesn’t have to have buisness with, so he stays with Zia and Franklin at the DPG. Zia and Franklin were told by Claire and Owen to watch Maisie and Charlie. (Even though Maisie INSISTS she doesn’t need a babysitter anymore, Maisie thinks Zia is cool.) Everything’s fine until Charlie sees some men walking in from the window on the 4th floor (I’m pretending that's the one Claire, Franklin, and Zia were on in JWFK) that she doesn’t recognize, (And mind you, she knows everyone who works there and they all know her. Since she doesn’t go to Preschool yet, and Claire doesn’t need daycare when she can watch her, Charlie is there from when it opens at 8am to when it closes at 4:30pm, (They don’t stop monitoring the dinosaurs after or before. Claire created the Emergency Dinosaur Threat Response Team, or the EDTRT, to contain any dinosaur threats without harming the dinosaurs or letting people get harmed by the dinosaurs.)) so Charlie knows there’s something going on and tells Maisie. When Zia and Franklin are fighting and Ian’s not looking and trying to stop them from fighting, Charlie and Maisie hide in the bathroom around the hall. Not long after they hide, they hear a commotion in the room where Zia, Ian, and Franklin were. When it stops, they run out of the bathroom to find them gone. (Biosyn took them.) They see Franklin’s laptop opened to an news article written 2 hours ago: ‘Velociraptor Last Seen In a San Francisco Suburban Area’. They realize that their parents were tricked, and Maisie takes Charlie to the EDTRT Prep Area. Maisie grabs a tazer stick and a rifle and an oversized chestplate. (which Owen taught her to use) Charlie grabs a pistol without her knowing. Huh. I guess the nerf gun wars with Zach and Gray did pay off after all! 8D
