Hey… I just stopped by to remind you how important you are to me. And yes, you can laugh in advance at all of my typos, I’m crying like a baby as I type.

I don’t know what really drew me to you.. Was it your smile? Was it your kindness? Was it your voice when you told me things will be alright? Was it when I believed you..? 

Yuto… no.. Toto, now that I feel like I’m able to make my brain work again, as I put my thoughts in order again, I stumbled upon this pile of feelings; and I am going to toss it at you.

Maybe there are people out there who have known you for a longer time than I do, who understood you better, who made you feel better.. I have no concept of time whatsoever, but I just wanted to thank you..

Thank you, though, for taking care of me in every way possible, for being there when no one else was or wanted to be. You never got mad when I didn’t call you for days, but you were right there to pick up my heart-splinters when things predictably shattered. You were and are there for everything, no bargaining or explanations needed. 

Thank you for doing all the things a real best friend does; for letting me sob into your shoulder when I need to and handing me the flask when there aren’t any more words. Thank you for always knowing who I am and reminding me of that when I forget. Thank you for being genuinely concerned with the outcome of my life and always listening, even when you’re tired.

 I can’t think of many people I’d actually take a bullet for, but I’d take that bullet for you anytime.
