Tj loved a total of five things: sex, fighting, Lexi, Juli, and cooking. Fortunately, food preparation was a skill he learned early in life (thanks to his mess of a mother), and he had a natural talent for it. He picked up recipes easily, tweaking them just enough to make them his own, and he was never afraid to experiment—though, those dishes were usually tested on his girlfriends. It was something fun for him to do when he wasn’t bloodying his fists, and to be honest, school was never his thing, so he was just grateful to have a serviceable trade.
He stood above the stove in his white coat, stirring the sauce he’d measured to perfection. Spooning some out, he dripped it onto his finger and tasted it. He licked his lips and nodded, setting the spoon aside and moving onto the boiling pasta next to it. “Avalos!” He yelled over his shoulder. “Where’s the truffle? I’m going gray over here!”
