200 and some odd words from the fist chapter of my marchly wip under the cut 🙃
Twenty minutes later Holland hung up the phone and rubbed his hands together, grinning from ear to ear as he walked into the living room.
“We’re all set to meet Spencer tomorrow for lunch at a diner out in Tarzana,” Holland reported, dropping down onto the couch by Jackson.
“You seem awfully pleased already, we don’t even have any real info yet,” Jackson said as he squinted at the sports page.
“Virtually no commute,” Holland replied happily, slipping Jackson’s reading glasses from the top of his head, sliding them onto the bridge of his nose.
Jackson grumbled and readjusted his glasses, still scanning over the sports page. “I’ll be back here at 11:30 tomorrow then.”
“I’ll be ready.”
“We’ll see.”
Holland rolled his eyes. “You want another beer?”
Jackson wanted to say yes, but knew he shouldn’t. He folded the paper up and put it back on the coffee table. “Nah, I gotta drive home,” he said, getting to his feet.
Holland bit his lip, suppressing the urge to offer the pull-out sofa in the guest room to Jackson. “Okay. 11:30 tomorrow then.” He got off the couch and walked Jackson to the door.
Jackson stood out on the porch for a moment, Holland slouching in the doorway smiling at him. “Don’t forget to lock up,” Jackson said softly, the John Boy incident forever fresh in his memory even though that case was long over.
“I won’t,” Holland mumbled through his crooked grin. “See you tomorrow.”
Jackson gave Holland and short wave and headed to his car before he could change his mind about a second beer.

Stalker AU (Superfan): Already in progress—Remmick hears Sammie perform and goes feral. Starts with fan letters… ends with Sammie wondering how this man got a key to his apartment.
Mafia Sugar Daddy AU: Also in progress—but I have an alternative more fun version planned where the twist is Sammie doesn’t realize it’s a sugar arrangement at first. He’s just accepting “gifts” from his “businessman friend.”
Bodyguard AU: Sammie’s rising fame attracts the wrong attention. Enter Remmick, the dangerously overqualified bodyguard with too much interest in his client.
Neighbors to Obsession AU: They live in the same building. Remmick watches from his window like a modern-day Hades waiting for Persephone to fall.
Fake Dating AU: They're both musicians for the same record label. Sammie needs a fake boyfriend for an event. Remmick volunteers. Nobody told Sammie faking it meant Remmick was going to act like they’re already married.
CEO/Intern AU: Sammie lands a prestigious internship… and instantly catches the eye of his cold, ruthless boss.
PNR/Urban Fantasy AUs:
Tru Blood Inspired AU: Remmick is an ancient vampire lord who’s convinced Sammie’s blood is rare and addictive. He’s the only thing standing between Sammie and the monstrous world that wants a taste.
Soulmate AU: The mark appears after Remmick bites him, and now they’re bound. Remmick calls it fate. Sammie calls it a damn nightmare.
Fae/Abhartach AU: On his first trip outside the country, Sammie meets an ancient creature straight out of Celtic folklore. Remmick is an ancient fae blood-drinker, tied to old Celtic death magic. Sammie’s music accidentally calls him forth. Now he won’t leave.
Demonic Pact AU: Sammie unknowingly makes a deal with a demon for fame at the crossroads. Remmick shows up to collect... but decides Sammie is a far more interesting long-term investment.
Mythological/Irish Folklore AUs:
Abhartach AU (True Origin Vampire): Remmick is the undying Abhartach himself, cursed to roam and feed on blood, but never at peace. He’s ancient, tired, and then along comes Sammie, singing songs that haven’t been heard in a thousand years. His presence stirs something in Remmick that’s almost human… almost.
Changeling AU: Sammie was swapped at birth and raised human, never knowing his true fae heritage. Remmick, a powerful Unseelie fae, has finally found him and intends to claim him back, whether Sammie likes it or not.
Dullahan AU (Headless Horseman Myth): Remmick is a Dullahan—one of the feared fae death-harbingers—riding out on nights thick with mist, searching for souls. But he’s become obsessed with one he refuses to claim: Sammie, whose voice is said to soothe even the dead.
Banshee’s Mate AU: Sammie unknowingly carries the bloodline of a Banshee and is destined to herald great tragedy. Remmick is a guardian spirit—or a death-bound fae—tasked with watching over him, but his protection comes at a price: his claim.
Selkie AU: Remmick is a selkie who willingly shed his seal skin and cast it into the sea centuries ago to escape his cursed existence—but Sammie’s voice lures him back to shore, and now he wants more than just a song.
Historical/Fantasy AUs:
Gilded Age AU: Set in the 1920s, Remmick is a crime boss funding the underground speakeasy where Sammie sings. Everything is drenched in jazz, danger, and obsession.
Mythological Reincarnation AU: Every life, Sammie is reborn, and Remmick always finds him. This time, he’s not letting him slip away.
Vampire Court AU: Sammie is a human performer dragged into the vampire elite’s world of politics and bloodlust. Remmick claims him as his exclusive entertainer… and something more.
And 2 more study abroad AUs I haven't fully fleshed out yet. and 2 military AUs one where Remmick served in the same unit with the twins for a joint SAS/Special Forces unit kinda like Call of Duty and the other is Remmick is still active US military.
But yeah, this is the list. I'll be going through them one by one since I have most of these outlined or have a braindump for them already so I kinda have an idea how I want these to go? I'm just not sure which ones should be a one-shot or which ones need to be full multi-chapter yet.
