Short answer: Yes if you're new, maybe if you are an old fã.

It's a fun experience to see a different take of the story. It somehow worked in the series because it isn't really trying to be One piece it's more of a based on than anything, Kudos to Oda for keeping an eye on the production. It's nice but not perfect. Some characters didn't translate well to the irl play (yes I'm bitter about Shanks iconic scene being overwrite and Benn Beckman being short) and some parts where the characters should bond over are missing or rushed over.
