She wanted to forget he was there -- no, she wanted to forget he existed. What was it about this man that kept him on her mind? Since they'd first met at his shop Caleb had managed to creep into her thoughts here and there, often with a huff of frustration. Maybe that was why he pissed her off so easily, she wasn't used to this invasion on her conscious and the memory of a kiss that she couldn't shake off.

So she tried to lose herself in the music, as she so often did. Already the alcohol was taking a hazy effect around the edges -- that spot between sober and intoxicated, a gentle hum. Others were dancing too, and among the growing throng, and with her eyes closed, Valentina didn't notice Caleb approach.

He grabbed her arm, and her natural reaction to yank it away grew half-hearted as he pulled her close. "What the f--." He cut her off, and Valentina allowed herself to be pulled through the crowd towards the exit. Caleb's grip was firm as he led the way, and the woman was again caught between the urge to pull away, and move her body closer still.

In the end the security guards were waiting for them at the exit, and Valentina was pleasantly surprised to find that they weren't drunk on their meager power as they led the pair outside.

After the darkness of the Planetarium, the afternoon sun was nearly blinding, and Valentina squinted shielded her eyes as she put some distance between herself and Caleb. He broke the silence first, and dropping her hand, the woman turned to face him. Maybe it was the heat, or maybe she hadn't been as tipsy as she felt amongst the music, but Valentina suddenly felt sober.

"Why are we here, Caleb?" She asked, cutting to the chase. "Hm? I saw you talking to someone, and you knew about...", she gestured to the science center, "...this. C'mon, don't fuck with me." She kept her distance as she talked, all too aware of the kiss they had just shared.

Bonlijah, Carolijah, Elejah

Over all? Only one of these I Personally too much as a 1 on 1 ship is Carolijah. Elejah/bonlijah both work best in my mind if theyre all together.

But lets go with them separately;

I personally am not a fan of this ship, i really do like this dynamic as familial/Platonic more than as romantic.* I like him having a weird like of her and him to be conflicted between emotions tbf, I think Elena having a Teen Crush on him could work but I don't think they'd be a good relationships themselves. Although, no humanity elena and him may work better, as much because I would be happy to see her BITE him. and them both no emotions I think they'd have a hell of a llot of interesting dynamic, blood/sex and all.

Carolijah -

idk, I think they COULD work. I think they'd be able to both give and take control all switchy and i like a woman who would push him around. Like with Elena, I do also like a more Platonic dynamic with her and him.* I'm also just Very much a sucker for attaching musicians tbh.

Bonlijah -

Honestly, I think it'd be interesting in a Revenge relationship after Jeremy cheated with a ghost. Or him trying to make up once he was woken, and finding out they woke his mother, But I think she should get to hurt him after he got her mother turned tbh.

I am like the others down for a familial/Platonic dynamics with them.*

*the comments of Platonic/Familial! So, I like having him with one of the adults(parent(s) or Zach) of Mystic Falls and ending up watching them grow up and becoming protective of them and them falling into place of his siblings because he lost the others. First and foremost I just need to ramble about Smoker for a little bit.

Smoker aligns somewhere between Lawful Good (acting as a good person is expected to act, combining honour and compassion) and Neutral Good (devoted to helping others and doing the best possible, without strict adherence to rules). [Whereas our main heroes / The Strawhats operate somewhere within Chaotic Neutral (follows whims and values personal freedom above all else) and Chaotic Good (follows their own conscience and moral compass, regardless of what others expect).]

Smoker may be a Marine, but he's not a Marine for the sake of being a Marine. He's not a Marine because he believes all Pirates are inherently bad, and all Marines are inherently good. There's no such thing. Both good and bad people exists in all walks of life [in his opinion]. This way of thinking has gotten him into a fair share of trouble; he's very blunt, not above breaking the rules if he thinks the rules are shit and made up by a bunch of cranky old men who don't really know how the world works.

He also doesn't give a shit about climbing up the ranks. He only does so when he thinks its necessary. He teaches his men to be open minded; to not form biases or prejudices against people based on their looks, background, or title; to judge them solely on their character and their actions. While he doesn't exactly like pirates or like helping them, he's not above aiding them when they share common ground or have a similar goal: if innocent lives [civilian] are at stake, and the pirates seem to be trying to assist in reducing the amount of damage.
