#i need input

This update is ONLY concerned with LOADING TIME.

So before I go ahead and announce Update 0.1.3 in an itch.io devlog, I have a favour to ask anyone following my tumblr blog!

There's no new content to play, but it would be so incredibly helpful if you have time to visit the Garden of Bones itch.io page and simply load the game to see if it's faster. I made a big change to how the source files are compiled.

Feel free to message me directly if you have more detailed feedback! Otherwise, please at least consider running the game and voting in this poll, because that would really help me out a lot. It's loading much better for me, but everyone has different load times.

If loads in seconds for most of you, that's fantastic, and if not I have more improvements I can make tomorrow or the next day!

First thought was Lireesa after her grandmother. Bc the windrunners seem to have a habit of reusing names (alleria is named after HER grandmother, lirath&vereesa are both combinations of their parents names), and arator has an interest in the windrunner family history (apparently has a lot of memorabilia/relics?)

But then my second thought was that she wouldnt want to name herself after another person because shes all about forging her own path or whatever.

please tell me I’m going insane and this means nothing.

my friend messaged me the day before we hung out and told me he booked a place for brunch, which happened to be one of my favourite cafes. the day we hung out, he paid for my matcha and said “I was gonna pay for you anyway.”

he let me wear his jacket when I was cold and said “I’m not giving it to you btw”, but he gave it to me anyway bc he was trying on a few jumpers at this thrift store we went to. I froze when he told me TWICE, “hold my shirt down,” under the jumper he tried on so it wouldn’t ride up, while he pulled the jumper up from the collar. he bought the quarter zip fleece I complimented on him even though he was uncertain about it. he was being silly goofy which I’ve never seen that side before and I found it endearing. he asked for his jacket back when we were leaving the store but said, “I’ll give it back to you later.”

edited: I forgot to add that he was telling me about the girl who works at the thrift store and he thinks she's pretty. I told him she was, and her style was really nice. he paid for the fleece and he apparently wanted to make conversation with her but couldn't because I was there— but when we left the store, I teased him telling him I'll leave next time so he could talk to her and he was laughing at me and told me he was joking 🗿

he asked me to come with him to get his hair cut and I sat for 35 mins watching. his new haircut was nice. a little too nice I felt like I shouldn’t even be there.

and when we hugged goodbye he rubbed my arm that lingered a little longer than usual 🥹 I’m going insane and I’m fighting off this feeling bc I used to like this guy and I swear we’re friends. but all of these were a first 👩🏻‍🦯

I might be writing a fic based on this fic, but I can't decide which way to go with it, so...
