I feel like I should say something here, I mean, the three-year-anniversary was yesterday, but I feel like a renewed passion for writing speaks enough for itself. I genuinely want to reach that final stretch I've been planning for years, and feel I owe it to whoever is still holding on to get there, if anyone is still around at this point lmao. I'm sure folks are pretty tired of me spinning my wheels for hundreds of thousands of words- like cue the "GET ON WITH IT" Monty Python bit.

With my second pay check I’m going to try to buy a drawing tablet. It’ll make working on my characters easier and I want to at least get a baseline for one of my comic ideas down starting next summer.
My personal goal with customizing dolls and figures is to one day have a custom Sephiroth (and hopefully Ravus, but Seph, at the least,) in every scale that I enjoy most. One that blends in with the line. F-P Little People, original Strawberry Shortcake, Barbie & Monster High of course, 4″ GI Joe/Star Wars. And all of those seem quite doable.
Just saw a photo of some toys for sale in an antique mall booth, though, that has reminded me: things are gonna get really weird, when it comes time for Masters of the Universe.
Of course, it might be a great time to recycle a figure with broken legs, and just make a Safer or Bizarro Sephiroth, there. Maybe both. If we’re going to dream big, I’d most like to 3D scan a Teela, mod the mesh to make it taller, swap the sword-gripping hand to the left, give it the proper pecs and arms, and print one in resin. With at least elbow and knee joints, too >> Can always use glue and brushed yarn to make a permanent wig, if rooting doll hair She-Ra style wouldn’t work, but allow the hair to move out of the way like printed hair wouldn’t. But yeah. MotU Sephiroth with killer, thicc thighs would be pretty awsum.
3D printing was how I planned to handle the Little People hair, anyway, so that whole mess would just be nice, small-scale practice. do you realize that in Little People scale that I could make the entire casts of VII and VX. I’d love to have a wood lathe and make my own body pegs, exactly like the originals. a small hobbyist model would do. but argh, all the time, more tools!
