All the shiny friends that will be in the Fri 7/24 drop at 5pm ET!
Hi Hydra, and hi Hydra’s Przewalskis! I just discovered your wonderful work. It looks like you do periodic releases and then announce them, and then sell out of your creations really quickly. If this is so… do you prefer to just work on whatever comes to your imagination at the time? Or do like to have suggestions and create what people resonate with? Or somewhere in between? What is the connection between your muse and your public? With love, a tiny piece of your public.
Hello and thank you so much for this ask! So in asking you summed it up really well. It is precisely somewhere in between. There are lots of critters and creations that I come up with and have a great time trying out, some of which resonate really well with my audience, but people's suggestions are literally essential to me. Sometimes my brain doesn't even consider a particular animal until a person asks. Or I need people to request octopi multiple times before I realize I actually can make an eight legged guy. Because I am all over the place with the variety of creatures I churn out, I break my drops into loose themes and repeat designs that I enjoy/ people request or miss from a previous drop, while peppering in new things. I am extremely fortunate for being able to do this. I follow so many amazing artists and sometimes envy how they stay in, not a singular lane by any means, but have very distinct themes they stick to with their work. Meanwhile I jump from Baldur's Gate 3, to tiny chickens, to dragons, to shark tea light holders, to painting Pokemon on Game boy charms. That being said, I LOVE that I can do that, and that is all thanks people like you that find these lil guys and follow along. So thank you very much for the kind words, and like all asks where I go off, thank you if you read the ramble.
Next shop drop in two weeks! Friday July 24th at 5pm ET. I am also setting up an email list. If you go to my website a pop up will prompt you for an email submission and if you miss that just scroll down on my home page if you’d like an email reminder in about a week before the drop! As always will be posting all the little cow/horse/birbs and other friends that will be in this farm-ish themed drop as we get closer.
Have been seeing so much amazing ancient horse art for this year of the horse and finally am getting around to some teeny Przewalski’s of my own 🐴

Fox figurines over the years, with the top one being made a couple weeks ago, and the bottom one 11 years ago 🤯. It is nice to put into perspective that progress isn't linear, but it sure does happen.
Thanks again for the people who requested magpies. They’ll be in this month’s shop drop!
When I get my act together I’ll get a date for said drop 😅 and even a way to sign up for an email newsletter as a reminder.
Expanding the back yard bird selection. Also realized I’ve failed to show the tiny peets on the birds I’ve recently started adding.
