So Mel has a full shutdown panic attack after the deposition.
No one is able to reach her.
Trinity who clocked Mel's attitude shift that morning pre and post Langdons arrival.
Begrudgingly. Annoyed. Grumpily. Furiously. She stomps over to Langdon. He fully expects to have his head ripped off. And is willing to take it.
Her jaw tenses. She spits something out that he can't make out. Trinity growls.
"Mel is having a panic attack in the staff room. Think she needs you."
Frank jumps to his feet, without thinking places a hand on her shoulders. "Thank you Doctor Santos".
And he's gone.
Trinity has to admit to herself that's he's not all bad.
But she'll never say it out loud.
Ever.

That stupid button question is everywhere. I thought it was just on twitter, but its escaped containment. Now everybody is arguing about red vs blue and most of them aren't even doing it right.
Any argument that frames one option as the default or functionally removes a button misses the point entirely. Both options are a choice you have to make, thats what makes the question interesting. Red isn't just a murder button, nor is blue a suicide button. While its true that everybody would be safe if the results were 100% on one side or the other, that would never happen, so the option isn't really worth entertaining. The anonymity is key, any version where you can see the group sizes or communicate with others while making your choice doesn't work. The original post for the version going around doesn't say "only people who can understand the question", it says everyone.
Choosing blue isn't stupid, its having empathy and believing altruistim will win out despite everything. Wanting to ensure your own survival by pressing red isn't inherently morally wrong, but I've seen more than a few arguments in its favor that certainly are.
I'm losing my mind. Nuance is dead and nobody knows how to argue something without taking the ship and rebuilding it into a horse. Sure, its still made of the same planks, but its not the same thing anymore and I'm going to question why you felt the need to change it into something else.
Suppose Brienne did find Sansa at Vale how would she convince her that she served Catelyn? Sansa doesn’t trust easily and I doubt she would believe for an instant that Jaime Lannister of all people sent Brienne to protect her.
It's not a plausible story, no. But Sansa doesn't have to listen to Brienne's tale and decide accept/not accept, she can ask questions.
How did you meet my mother? What did she say about me to you? What did she say about my sister? How did she react to the news of Winterfell's fall? What did Robb think about this? How were Catelyn and Robb getting along? Did she talk about my father at all?
None of this goes directly to Brienne's hypothetical central claim that Jaime did an about-face and asked Brienne to ensure Sansa's safety. But there is an awful lot Sansa could start asking Brienne about Catelyn for Sansa to build a broader picture of Brienne's credibility. If Brienne is honest, I don't think Sansa (or indeed most people) would be able to miss that Brienne is 100% sincere about her respect for and dedication to Catelyn.
That doesn't eliminate the possibility that Brienne could have been fooled by Jaime himself, it doesn't mean that Sansa would or could believe that part of the tale even when Brienne tells Sansa with the exact same earnestness "he is not the man he was", but I think Brienne's got the materials to convince Sansa of her own sincerity.

Blonde blazer: I cant find any of rob’s college stuff in the system
Chase: Roberts trans… howd the fuck didntcha know that
BB: he named HIMSELF Robert Robertson??
Robert (yelling across the room): who does your background checks
while i myself am considered only to be medium freak level (on a tumblr metric, i am very strange to normal individuals) i am pro freak on a level that many a friend/classmate/peer has been baffled and grossed out by.
about a year and a half ago, one of my classmates (a man i now believe to be a performative thinker) told me about this philosophy class he was taking. during this class, he was proposed a hypothetical situation that, upon hearing it, had him quite disturbed and disquieted, and he had no other choice but to paul revere every single person he knew to get their input on the aforementioned hypothetical. It was as follows:
a man goes to the grocery store and purchases a large turkey with his own, legal money. he takes this turkey home, covers it in herbs, spices, and butter, and then fucks it, coming inside. he then cooks this cum basted turkey, carves it, and eats it. is this considered morally wrong?
now, i imagine that the reaction my disturbed classmate was looking for was one of horror and disgust. how dare this man that does not exist fuck the turkey that is dead that he legally bought.
my only question, however, was do I have to eat the turkey?
you would have thought i pulled out my own turkey at that exact moment with how he reacted.
so yeah. pro freak.
