Does anyone have ANY type of media that explores hypnagogic hallucinations. I am BEGGING.
HYPNAGOGIA AND HYPNOPOMPIA
— post and gratitude are dedicated to my wonderful friend @urprettyangel888
WHAT IS HYPNAGOGIA AND HYPNOPOMPIA
— hypnagogia is the transition state between wakefulness and sleep. hypnopompia, on the contrary, is a condition that occurs during the transition state from sleep into wakefulness. both of these states are accompanied by involuntary thoughts, images, fragments of memories, as well as vivid visual and auditory hallucinations (like waking dreams), often along with sensations of levitation or falling — during hypnagogia or hypnapompia, your body is relaxed but your mind is active, making your subconscious mind receptive. “during hypnagogia, you are in a powerful state in which every assumption instantly bypasses your conscious mind, going directly to your subconscious; being absorbed like a sponge thus easily believing anything”
SYMPTOMS
visual hallucinations: flashes of light, geometric shapes or patterns, vivid images of people, animals, or scenes auditory hallucinations: music, voices, knocking, buzzing, ringing, whisper, hearing your name, explosions, bangs tactile and somatic hallucinations: sensations of floating, flying, falling, rotating, swaying, rubbing, light touch, bugs crawling on the skin hypnic jerks: sudden muscle spasms or jerks that may wake a person up, often associated with a falling sensation. in my own case, i observed that the index finger rose on its own or the hand clenched into a fist if you think you've experienced hypnagogia or hypnopompia, you probably have. besides, we are all different, so the symptoms of hypnagogia and hypnopomia will be different for everyone
hiii!! i have another question 💔💔. how are the hallucinations in the hypnagogia state supposed to look like? i think i’ve experienced some hypnagogic hallucinations but the imagery was more blurry and unclear, so idk if i was actually experiencing hypnagogia or not
HYPNAGOGIA QUESTION
hiiii! if you think you have experienced hypnogyny, then most likely you have — let's start with auditory hallucinations: music, voices, knocking, buzzing. “people may imagine their own name called, crumpling bags, white noise, or a doorbell ringing”. and usually these sounds are much louder than your thoughts, as if you hear these sounds somewhere outside or very close to you — visual hypnagogic hallucinations most often include flashes of light, geometric shapes or patterns, and visions of human faces, animals or objects. i dare to suggest that waking dreams can also be classified as visual hallucinations — hypnagogic hallucinations also include sensations of falling, floating, rotating, swaying, rubbing, light touch — “some examples of hypnagogic hallucinations include the sensation of falling, seeing things that are not there, such as a person, animal, or object, even thinking about the existence of insects and hearing or seeing them where they do not actually exist. for example, among visual hypnagogic hallucinations, seeing spiders is the most common. you may also feel as if someone is touching you or sitting on your bed. tactile hypnagogic hallucinations can include sensations such as feeling ants crawling on your skin”

Hey! So I read Thomas Yuschak's book (Charmed recommended it to me), and I’ve been trying the supplement method. I wake up at 4 AM for WBTB and take Galantamine (8mg), Choline (600mg), and Alpha GPC (300mg). I use them for school memory too, but during WBTB I’m getting a 90% hit rate of terrifying Sleep Paralysis, or sometimes Lucid Dreams. To be fair, I’ve only done it 4 times.
Last time, I got the hypnagogic state instead of lucid dreams. I got the shadow figures, the green haze, and the suffocating feeling—it was awful. I know I just need to 'suck it up' because shifting/LDing and getting my dream life is MORE THAN worth it, but how do people deal with the fear? It’s holding me back. Since Charm is gone, you’re my favorite blog now, and I really want to send you a success story soon!
Also, just for when I get SP or hypnagogia again, what do I do? Do I just affirm and visualize my WR/DR or get into the void? How do I do that?
HYPNAGOGIA QUESTION | SLEEP PARALYSIS QUESTION | LUCID DREAMING QUESTION
hiii! you're so sweet <3 thank you. good luck! — decide that you are experiencing calm, relaxing experiences of sleep paralysis, hypnagogia, lucid dreams. positive or neutral. be persistent in the assumption that your sleep paralysis, hypnagogia and lucid dreams are safe. you can use self-hypnosis to change your beliefs. you can use self-hypnosis to change your assumptions — listen to subliminals. they have affirmations for safe sleep paralysis — i still haven't found that post. it seemed to say to rehearse the desired state. it kind of prepares you for it so you don't feel panic or fear. lie down and imagine that you have sleep paralysis and hypnogia. imagine yourself breathing and calming down. no scary images or suffocation. do it again and again so that it becomes ingrained in your subconscious. i hope you understand. if not, then let me know — HOW TO OVERCOME THE FEAR OF SLEEP PARALYSIS? — set the intention in advance to experience safe lucid dreaming, sleep paralysis, hypnagogia
hi what is the difference between hypnagogia and sleep paralysis?
SLEEP PARALYSIS QUESTION | HYPNAGOGIA QUESTION
— hypnagogia is the transition state between wakefulness and sleep
— sleep paralysis is a natural condition that occurs during REM sleep
during hypnagogia, you may feel like you are floating, spinning, or falling, but you can move. during sleep paralysis, your body is temporarily paralyzed to prevent physical reactions to dreams, while your mind remains awake
"there's actually nothing hypnagogia and sp (sleep paralysis ) have in common, except the hallucinations, but even their cause differs
during hypnagogia your brain prepares to rest, which can cause different kinds of hallucinations. they're usually chaotic, and more like snippets, because it's just random perception without any stimuli
... then, you might hallucinate during sp, because parts of your brain are technically still dreaming, so those hallucinations can be far more organized and actively controlled if you keep the cool..."
Why are my hallucinations mostly spiders and why are they orange?
