#hydrodipping

Hydro-dipping, also called water-transfer printing, is at a boom in the 3D objects printing industry. With this technique a combination of graphics and colorful designs are applied on 3 dimensional products like controllers, consoles, shoes, helmets, to create a unique customization. Though this is not a new technique which is used for the first time, it is already used by the automotive industry to customize car bonuts, motorbikes etc. It's just we at Dyeport caught an eye for this kind of customization over controllers. Being a gamer, I got involved into playing hardcore video games with these funky colorful controllers and realized when I love it I am sure others will too.

Then I took a step  back when I thought a decal skin or a sticker would be a cheaper option and I bought a few skins online. Later it came out that skins started coming out after a few rounds of my hard core shooting. While I looked for original designs which cannot be removed or worn out of the controllers, I found out that Hydrodipping and Stickers or Skins are two different things. I did more research if any company does provide customization without using skins but could not find anything online.  And what I found was not less than a discovery for me who is a gaming nerd. I have always dreamt of something like this and it was there. 

Then I took a photo of my kid and got it printed from a nearby printer shop on PVA or water transfer paper, bought hydro-dipping materials online and dipped my first controller with a custom photo of my son. I showed off my controller in my stream and the response I got over that controller is tremendous.

I started my research for creating custom controllers, and here I am 1 year later providing customization to all my gamer fellas in the USA.So, here I go ranting about my customization process via Hydro-Dipping  technique where products are dipped in the water surface with my favourite designs and graphics on it.

I’m not here to make an opinion but according to my choice I would always select Hydro-dipping for my controllers and gaming accessories.
