One of his books was my first experience reading virulent jew hatred, describing someone like me as disgusting based on what I am. I was a young teen and he's made my blood boil ever since. His work has been commonly edited to remove his gross garbage nowadays, but both in his writing and personal life he was gross. Here's a post going over a bit of it. People can say "it was normal for the time" all they want but it doesn't mean I have to accept him being hoisted up as a literary gay icon.

As an aphantastic person, what is your image creation/conception process like?
Usually blobby and unappealing compared to a lot of sketch styles I've seen... I can always feel the drawing in my mind, the motion of it, but I can't see anything. Composition is always first in my mind because I feel the feeling of the directions of things I can't see- like I could feel the flow of the tendrils on the hat and the hair, or the feeling of the point where his face is shoved into the other's shoulder
I feel the drawing in my brain like a single point flowing in a river but I can't see anything, if it makes sense

Cicle! My beekeeper/bee boy who traps an unsuspecting man in a body horror apple orchard of his own mind. I really enjoy him and his blossom of a boy. He's known to hum a lot, when you think about it you've never seen him blink, and he happens to be in every one of your recent never dreams 🤔
He loves bird nest baklava and kataifi the most of all sweets, plucking flowers apart for answers, and the smell of wet grassy fields
