     He’s lurking near the water’s surface, not close enough to poke his head above the waves but close enough to feel the sun’s rays. Close enough to hear the chatter of humans. Prompto adores humans.      He senses the presence of another and twists in the water, gauzy tail fins rippling behind him. He flashes a sharp-toothed grin. “Hi! Hey, hey, wanna play with the humans with me? I was gonna sing a little and see if I could lure any of ‘em closer!”      Not to hurt them. He never means to hurt them. Just... to get a closer look.

     i can’t wait to unleash all this salt.          aight here we go, let’s tackle one of the big ones right away. blog policing. i actually sometimes think people don’t realise that what they’re doing is blog policing. they have this attitude like ‘i was just telling them what’s okay to write / post’ but here’s the thing, that’s not down to you. a person’s blog is their own business, end of story.     it actually makes me wanna rip my hair out to see people receive passive-aggressive anons telling them how they should conduct themselves ( for example, i’ve seen more than one person get the good old ‘ew you write too much smut’ ). i actually have a friend who flat-out left tumblr because she was writing a particularly violent thread and got nonstop anons hurling abuse at her about it. it was tagged and under cuts and it was her choice what she wrote.      which leads me to my gr8 tips on how to avoid that situation where u just gotta go hurl abuse at a person on their own blog. now, i understand that we all have things we don’t wanna see. we all have our squicks. that’s fine. but see, it’s your job to protect yourself from those. not anyone else’s.     so listen, here’s how u do it. u blacklist the thing you don’t wanna see. even better, you check the rules of a blog you’re considering following. most peoples’ rules give a pretty good idea of the kind of content they write, and if it’s tagged or not. they don’t tag your squick? don’t follow them. you’re mobile and can’t blacklist the things they post? don’t follow them. you’re not obligated to. it’s not their job to make your dash a perfect viewing experience. let them enjoy themselves. take responsibility for the things you want to avoid.
