The satin black fabric hugged him perfectly, the top two buttons left undone to reveal the slope of his neck, the very place you had spent so many nights pressing kisses against, tracing with your lips and fingers as though he was your altar.

Your breath caught when your wandering eyes met his. Youngkyun's dark gaze held yours with ease, the corner of his mouth tugging upward.

“Someone’s distracted,” he said in that same gentle tone you adored, though the teasing lilt in his voice was impossible to miss as he fastened his watch. “Something on your mind?”

Your heart skipped. It wasn’t as though you didn’t know, having a man like him for a husband came with its share of silent trials.

You were fully aware of the way other women’s eyes lingered on him, hopeful, admiring, longing. They could only hope, of course. He was yours and only yours.

Still, the thought of anyone else seeing him like this, looking so devastating, so effortlessly magnetic, made a small surge of boldness rise within you.

Your heels clicked against the floor as you crossed the room, your steps confident despite the storm in your chest. His eyes followed you, curious, until you stopped in front of him.

Without hesitation, you reached for his collar, tugging him down towards you.

Surprise flickered across his face, but instinct took over. His hands slid around your waist, pulling you close, holding you as naturally as breathing.

A soft smile curved his lips the moment your mouth brushed his neck, just below his Adam’s apple, the cool sheen of your gloss a stark contrast against his warm skin. A shiver ran through him at the sensation. And then he felt it, a mark. Your mark.

“Possessive…” he teased, though the flutter in his chest betrayed the calmness of his words.

“I just want everyone to know you’re mine,” you murmured, pouting faintly as you pulled back. That pout, so disarmingly sweet paired with the fire in your actions, made him wonder, not for the first time, how you managed to be both devastatingly adorable and impossibly alluring all at once.

“Really?” His chuckle was low, affectionate, as he glanced briefly down at the watch on his wrist before lifting his gaze back to you. Suddenly, that event they were supposed to attend didn't seem as important anymore.

In one motion, he pulled you closer with one hand while his other worked at the remaining buttons of his shirt, opening it further to reveal the elegant line of his collarbones. His smirk deepened as his eyes softened on yours.

“We have fifteen more minutes,” he said, his voice dipping, playful yet inviting.

“I think you can be a little more obvious.”
