Shit, while we likely knew that the Collectors were working with the Reapers, the Husks are the confirmation we needed.
The only reason the Geth were able to create Husks was because Sovereign gave them the technology. While the Collectors could have theoretically gotten the technology from encountering some of Saren's Geth. That feels unlikely, since the Geth would be invulnerable to the Seeker Swarms, and from personal experience, did not happily exchange technology with biologicals.
Husks are truly one of the most horrific aspects of the Reapers plans. The invasion of our autonomy. Changing us into mindless servants, that we can barely recognise as our previous selves. A Grim reminder of what we are to fall to, if we fail to stop the Reapers.
