Hurricane Ian - A Local Perspective
Land and Sea #7 Oil. Acrylic on canvas 30 x 24 inches I’m always amazed at the patterns created when air, current and water mix. Sometimes, early in the morning, I can observe the wind coming toward me by the marks it makes on the water’s surface. And then there are always those unexplained swirls of chaos in the calm. I imagine a large animal stirring things up beneath the surface! It’s probably more ethereal than that as unknown air molecules interact. Other images here include beginning a work on paper and observations on my current self imposed art residency. Place is an important aspect in my work. Settling in and digging deeper. Feeling the connections and current struggles of this place.
