Hurricane Ian - A Local Perspective

Land and Sea #7 Oil. Acrylic on canvas 30 x 24 inches I’m always amazed at the patterns created when air, current and water mix. Sometimes, early in the morning, I can observe the wind coming toward me by the marks it makes on the water’s surface. And then there are always those unexplained swirls of chaos in the calm. I imagine a large animal stirring things up beneath the surface! It’s probably more ethereal than that as unknown air molecules interact. Other images here include beginning a work on paper and observations on my current self imposed art residency. Place is an important aspect in my work. Settling in and digging deeper.
