Carolina, I think, would have this belief about success equalling to results and vise-versa, something I think she would have gotten from her father. The idea that success is determined by results ( and considering Carolina, results would have to mean exceptional — ) is both a drive and a hindrance. As we’ve seen when Texas was introduced to the Freelancers, Carolina felt threatened, and even felt that her success would be hindered. The belief became a little skewered as soon as competition settled in, so despite Carolina working harder ( a result one might see as really, really good? ) her actions only affected her results badly. I think belief is a good word to use for this kind of thinking, too, since I feel that in Season 12 ( so far, anyway ) she’s mostly doing what she’s doing for results, the results being something even I cannot guess at just yet.
So um, TLDR ; success = ( exceptional ) results.
✬ : Something minor they enjoy
Taking care of small animals, probably. I’ve always mused on the idea of Carolina having a small aviary full of birds when she was younger, and maybe during leave ( Project Freelancer does give their agents leave right that has to be a thing?? ) she’d have a little home where she has a few birds — canaries, probably? singing canaries, she’d probably train them or something if she’d the time — and just. Basks in their presence?
Carolina’s a very peaceful person if given the chance, really. So she’d be really ambient and - - sort of, at peace, when she’s in her aviary. It’s something I like to imagine when it comes to Carolina, and as a very avid supporter of a hAPPY AND NOT ANGRY AND TOTALLY THREATENED BY EVERYTHING EVER AND SHOT DOWN BY ALL HER EXPECTATIONS ! Carolina. C oughs.
✯ : Way they could see themselves dying
Hahahaha - - - how about we don’t - - Okay, but, playing on my whole ‘water’ motif when it comes to Carolina, I really feel like she’d mostly imagine herself drowning - - whether it’s figuratively or literally, basically as long as she feels like she’s being dragged down and there’s no hope for her to get above the surface, the problem, then she’s essentially dead. I think for her, to drown is to give up. It’s a finality, the accepting of her fate. If she were burned, she’d still lash out ; falling, she’d catch on to something and climb back up. Drowning? Everything, the pressure of everything, is pushing her down and she would have no choice but to accept it. Both literally and figuratively, I think this acceptance would be really good for her - - I mean. Drowning, to her, is the most peaceful way to die.
But omg I guess to actually answer that question and not make it some metaphorical, philosophical mumbo-jumbo, I think Carolina would only be able to see herself drowning as her death.
