Haven’t posted in a long while, but just wanted to make a tribute to Destiny. Although I haven’t played in four whole years due to college and work, I still love this game with all my heart.
I started playing Destiny back in 2014 when I was 10. With my brother letting me make a character on his account until my parents let me make my own PlayStation account (Yeah I was here for Dinklebot). I remember being so in love with the world and the story from the get go. When I rode the bus to school all I’d talk about was Destiny and all the goals I had. After the Taken King came out I tried making clay figures of a hunter in the full desolate armor set. (It broke and I’m mad about it still)
I remember not having any friends who were on PlayStation and had it, so I’d have to find random people to do Raids with. After all these years I still don’t have Chatterwhite, and it still drives me crazy.
Destiny 2 was so exciting. I preordered it and loved it, and I’m so mad I can’t replay the red war campaign or forsaken. But I’m excited to catch up on all the expansions and Raids I missed while I was busy with school. (Though I am mad the game calls me a new light. Bitch I preordered you!)
Anyways, these games have been my favorite of all time. They were a sanctuary for a lonely kid and they gave me the stars. I will always love these games. Thank you to the developers and the creatives that have worked on this game and made it so wonderful.
