Hot take: people turning reblogs off on a tumblr post is equivalent to abandonware, and it is 100% moral to steal them and repost them word-for-word without credit.
Hungry Jacks' 'no clowning around' tag is so Maccas directed despite the fact they haven't used Ronald in years.
Hi so i think “worldbuilding is only good if it is secondary to characterization” might be like the worst take of all time actually. worldbuilding is equally as good of an art form as character and plot driven stories. “you need to make engaging with your art entertaining” no i don’t. i think reading descriptions of worldbuilding is entertaining.

[Long rant. I am agreeing with you, this was meant to be like one paragraph about how I feel, agreeing with you. I don't know how long I spent writing this, but this refers to your recent(?) post about Jax not being transmasculine (I'm so tired I almost wrote trans instead of Jax...)]
I feel like it's also a lack of media literacy and a lack of attention for the character's character. Also, if she were transmasculine, I think she'd be really bad rep lol (I think she's good rep as a complex trans woman, but her struggles are like that and she acts like that because she's transfem. masculinity was the standard she was held up to, and her parents were upset with her that she didn't meet their criteria (iirc), but in reality she never really wanted to, because she's a woman, which her mom didn't take seriously.
In my mind, the reason that she didn't take it seriously wasn't just because of the fact that she was transgender, but because she is a trans woman. I think something similar could have happened, where a Jax who was AFAB might not have been taken seriously because they would have been percieved female. But the effect would be different, because they wouldn't have been raised to a standard of masculinity.)
I was okay with the transmasculine headcanon at first (it was clear to me that she was transgender, but I didn't pay enough attention to the details to understand how), but after watching the finale it is obvious that she's a trans woman and it's core to her character. I think a lot of people might be upset because a lack of transmasculine representation in media, which is understandable. but there's a lack of overall trans rep in media. I'm just glad that there's actual good trans rep in something popular. That's rare.
(It would also be odd to expect a transfeminine (I THINK) creator to make the story about transmasculinity. Her being transfeminine was a main plot point (even if it was never verbally discussed in the show) and like, I wouldn't expect someone to write a story about experiences they haven't had?? it makes sense that a trans woman would want to make media about + that represents trans woman... what.)
yeah
I think if you believe that Jax "should have" been ftm you’re transmisogynist. no I will not elaborate
Do we have a Keir Starmer lettuce going yet
