The jungle breathed in slow, humid waves beneath a silver moon. Every leaf shimmered with moisture, every shadow seemed alive.

The engine of the armored jeep idled low, its headlights cutting two pale tunnels through the dense undergrowth. Inside, three mercenaries sat in tense silence.

“Motion stopped,” muttered the driver, eyes flicking between the darkness and the cracked GPS unit mounted on the dash.

From the back seat, the woman with the rifle leaned forward. “(Why did we stop?).”

“Easy,” the driver said quietly. “Probably just a—”

The forest exploded.

A massive shape surged from the darkness with a thunderous crash, snapping trees like twigs. A towering sail cut through the moonlight, followed by a long, crocodile-like snout lined with dagger teeth.

The Spinosaurus had found them.

“CONTACT!” shouted the woman, already raising her weapon.

The creature roared—deep, guttural, shaking the ground beneath them. Its glowing eyes locked onto the jeep as if it had been hunting them for hours.

Gunfire erupted. Muzzle flashes lit the jungle in staccato bursts.

The driver slammed the accelerator. The humvee lurched forward, tires spinning in mud, barely dodging as the Spinosaurus lunged—its jaws snapping shut inches from the (driver-side door).

“Go, go, GO!”

Branches whipped against the windshield (as the vehicle sped forward). The headlights bounced wildly, illuminating ((the game trail they were following)).

The Spinosaurus charged again, faster than something that size had any right to be. It slammed into the side of the jeep, metal screaming as the vehicle fishtailed across the jungle path.

For a moment, everything tilted—trees, sky, headlights spinning—

Then the driver regained control.

Ahead, the jungle opened slightly, revealing a narrow river crossing glistening under moonlight.

“Hold on!”

The jeep launched forward, splashing into the shallow water and climbing the opposite bank with a roar of effort.

Behind them, the Spinosaurus skidded to a halt at the river’s edge, hissing, its massive chest heaving. It watched them disappear into the darkness… then let out a low, echoing growl.

Inside the jeep, no one spoke for (what seemed like an hour).

Finally, the woman lowered her rifle. “We’re not the hunters out here.”

The (driver) glanced (to the side. "No. We're the hunted.) into the black jungle.

“(Either way," she) said quietly(, “we’re) trespassing.”

The thing the military is replacing the Humvees with. So it can move a lot faster with a lot more space for people and or equipment but it has no protection from any side, being more like a dune buggy, then a military vehicle. The general argument is they can’t shoot at you if they can’t catch you but since it’s based on a Chevy Silverado, I’m pretty sure an insurgent in a Toyota Hilux could probably keep pace with this thing. There aren’t even windows and doors to repel a grenade thrown into the vehicle. This seems like a bad idea. Here is a photo.

Why Is He So Invested?

Alongside the late senator John McCain, Graham backed the 2014 US-backed coup in Ukraine and Kiev’s war against the Donbass

In 2022, he declared that “with American weapons and money, Ukraine will fight Russia to the last Ukrainian” and later admitted the war is "all about money" for Washington

He called "Russians dying" the "best money the US has spent" in Ukraine and praised Kiev's incursion into Russia’s Kursk region as "brilliant" and "bold"

At the 2025 Munich Security Conference, he proposed NATO membership for Ukraine if it is "invaded again"

In September and November 2024, he insisted the US should profit from Ukraine’s $2–$7 trillion in minerals and rare earths rather than letting Russia benefit

Does Graham Have Trump’s Ear?

"Nobody even mentioned rare earths in Ukraine until Senator Graham raised it," notes retired US diplomat Jim Jatras, adding that Donald Trump has now put the issue on the table.

The key question, Jatras says, is whether Ukraine will repay past US aid with its natural resources or offer future geopolitical favors.

"Graham is part of the neoconservative faction that pushes aggressive militarism and corporate interests," says US author and journalist Dr Jeremy Kuzmarov. He argues Graham's stance aligns with many around Trump, while Volodymyr Zelensky is effectively selling Ukraine to Wall Street.
